So, after our first trip in the van, I (Emily) have of course decided we need to make some changes.
Unfortunately Lou has hurt her back which means it falls upon me to crack on and get these van build changes done! As most of you will know by now my experience with tools is limited and this is much more Lous area of expertise, but with her help, I crack on and give it a go. And, although it takes longer than it should (the heat didn't help) we get it done in the end... with a bit of banter along the way! Well, it wouldn't be a camper vibe vlog without it!!

Those additions to the van were perfect! Using pillowcases for clothing - Oh my lanta! Game changer! Few bungee cords, pockets and extra shelves here and there = liveable space. Well done you two! 😜

nice stencil making, you can use x-ray film, its stiff, flexible, waterproof (can be cleaned) and reused, nice van build, love the humor

Way to go, Emily. Practice makes perfect. I had no idea how to properly use these necessary tools until Lillian showed me. I'm much more comfortable now. Lol. Storage is important. Use every square inch! 😉

Louise I sympathise with you re back problems ive been there and worn the T shirt (get better soon) and being a Carpenter myself I love how you show Emily how to do things then realise its easier and quicker to grab the drill and do it yourself.Emily you are learning quick btw.Any Van improvement is gotta be a great improvement.Im a Newish Subscriber but love you both and the way you do things together.Great team and definately made for each other.We also take our two Cats in our campervan with us when we go away.

A huge thank you for giving me the motivation to start planning a campervan build, and for keeping a smile on my face. I had been wondering if I would be able to physically do a conversion, constant dubbed back, but as you say, solider on and get it done. Now just need to find a van, obviously a lot of van builders out there, there are no vans in scotland worth looking at. I wish you both all the best with your future plans

Please don’t use Danish Oil - it’s noxious! Read the VOC label on the back and Google for more info, especially regarding off-gassing which goes on for years apparently.
Yes it it is, but it's used on many a piece of furniture, our van is well ventilated, better than some houses and it will be given plenty of time to dry before the van is lived in. I've actually got very sick from Danish oil once before so I know how horrible it can be.

Hi Girls, i found a brilliant campsite in France that i think you two would love. Photography for Louise & lovely dog walks to be had. The wildlife was amazing. Kingfishers,Buzzards,Jays & Wild Boar were all spotted. Once restrictions are lifted you must check it out. Take a look at the video i made. It’s not a good video but gives you an idea of the campsite. All the best......Jim👍

The cladding is 8mm cheap wooden stuff from B&Q and the batons for the cupboards is 34mm x 34mm. Hope that helps 😁

Is there a name for the edge trim you used at the vertical end of the T&G by the sliding door frame please? Looks like some sort of plastic L shape profile? Also, did you screw the stainless steel eye plates only into the 8mm T&G? Is it enough to hold them?
Hi seb, we got the trim from wicks, it's called pine cushion corner trim, it's wooden and Emily just painted it white.
And yes, I have just screwed the plates to the 8mm cladding and it seems to be just fine, obviously don't do the bungee cords overly tight lol. Hope that helps 😁
