Logistically he'd prob not care but that's boring >:3
I'd say he wouldn't care at first but as time passed by a feeling of uncomfort would grow "he caused this didn't he? He pushed away his childhood friend" and each time he thinks like this he'd push it down, but then the feeling would return again, and again worse each time
This may lead to the healthy (but boring) route of bakugo going to therapy
But I think it leading into obsession could be way more entertaining
He still saw izuku each day but it felt different like a piece of himself was ripped out and that piece is still with izuku and he would constantly be reminded day after day of his _mistake_ and it's something he needs to rectify
But, ofcourse _he_ can't, that bridge has already been burnt long ago so what's the next best thing? Becoming the _only_ person izuku could turn to so, he does just that, after all no one really _likes_ middle school deku he's a quirkless wimp
So why not spread a few rumours y'know? Start tame and let the others do the work of bastardizing it getting worse and worse with each telling
And then he'd not only be the local loser but at the same time would be the local piece of human garbage while bakugo is there waiting with open arms
