Truly the best music you'd find in most of Michael Mann's films. The way the music is blended in his movies is just absolutely amazing!!! What a legend! Miami Vice, Ali, Collateral... Just amazing music
*Spoiler alert* It's very interesting because Collateral starts at the airport and ends at the train station whereas Heat starts at the train station and ends at the airport.
This is my favorite movie of all time. It is an artwork, and one of few films that has never bexome old or irrelevant to me. It is a story about "loneliness" wrapped in a bank-robbery thriller.
This movie has been accused of being too epic in that there are too many storylines and insights in to the lives of the characters. I disagree. It is perfect for that reason. It shows that all of the characters are going through something challenging. This movie has grown in stature since its first showing and is a must-see for any fan of the crime drama genre. Try to watch it on a wide screen letterbox with quality sound and you will be totally blown away at the quality of this fine movie. It is Mann's masterpiece.
I love this movie, but on first viewing all the subplots and personal lives of the characters are alot to soak in. I truly believe you can't really appreciate Heat until a second or third viewing. It's hard to believe this movie has 30+ minutes worth of deleted scenes when the movie itself is already over 2 hours!
This movie is one of the prime reasons why I'm in love with LA. Although i know nothing about its tourist attractions and specialities, it's been my dream to be in LA and sit in one of its diners and have coffee with pie.
Sorry to crush your dream pal but LA is not like it was in 1995. Sure you can order your piece of pie for 10.00 and be surrounded by homeless people outside the cafe. LA is not what it use to be … sorry… but i understand your dream
Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out of in 30 seconds flat, if you hear the hear the heat coming around the corner..
So eerie but beautiful the way quiet music is laid out with louder eruptions of sound from the environment in the scene, all the while building to a crescendo which discards the unassuming nature of the scene. Brilliant and beautiful soundtrack.
***** 20 years and still Heat is just as intense, fresh and so original in its story and the depth of the characters. Especially Pacino and DeNiro. I watched Heat on Blu-ray. Epic does not do Michael Mann's classic any justice. BIBLICAL VIEWING EXPERIENCE IN HD.
+Emmanuel Williams Watched it as a teenager in the cinemas and I still think of it as one of the best exeriences ever. The way it was filmed, the characters, the story, the acting was all done so beautifully.
I get chills around 1:02 every single time I watch this movie. It's one of the best themes I've ever heard on film. It sounds triumphant and sad at the same time.
jumpingjackjaggers very special movie. I don't think eithers career was ever quite as good after, this was there peak where they were at the top of their game
I don't go to cinemas because I don't really enjoy watching movies with other people round me + I like to pause, rewind, etc. whenever I want, but for this... I WOULD PAY DOUBLE OR TRIPLE to watch in the cinema with others/ It never gets old/
The most underrated movie of all time in my humble opinion!!! Stunning performances, from an all star cast. Brilliant film making, by one of the greatest film directors!! Michael Mann is a genius hands down!!!
Greatest action movie ever created and Pacino and Deniro greatest roles too acting was on point every second they dont make films like this in the 2015
Did i miss something, or did the opening credits not mention Danny Trejo? Just a minor squabble, but the man deserves a name on the opening credits. In any case, one of my favorite movies, and a movie that introduced me to the genius and technical expertise of Michael Mann.

Why is it not right? He's epic as fuck, just adds to his badassery. MANN obviously recognised his talent and genuine presence as he wasn't even in the script, that's why he just has his own name in it
I bought the soundtrack just for this track.and Ultra Marine As well for Moby. But the whole soundtrack is amazing, missing house of pains track. But it's ok.
This needs to be theatrically re-released to show the current generation what real movies can be like
👍👍
