And last night I watched John's spin the wheel nuzlocke for 10k subs and Jack being in charge was hilarious
The Kratt brothers actually had a show before Zaboomafoo called Kratts' Creatures. That's why in the Zaboomafoo intro it says "with the Kratt brothers" like you were supposed to know who they were already.
I always thought it was a Full House situation where they were introducing their actors.
I remember watching both the shows like crazy! The show had a talking lemur if I remember 🤔

(Not actually but just wanted to mention it since KC came out in 1996, ZBF 1999, WK 2010)
You should trying doing it in Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby. Also rather than restarting after each shiny you should have a life counter and see who can get the furthest before losing all their lives.
Or you can be forced to catch the shines you find and the other person gets to name them, that way in battle if you use them then you have to look at whatever the other person decided to mock you with their name.

Could it be a nice twist to do this as an actual race until the first gym/trial, but every time you find a shiny, you get a time penalty? That way, you don't need to start over again this often
“You find a shiny, you lose” is basically a game of whoever is unluckier wins and I absolutely love this! (Mikey should of caught the Shiny Mime Jr. at the end and named it pain)

Popplio is the ONLY starter you can use in a Nuzlocke in US and UM, that will get you farther than the start of the game.
Seriously? That sucks. Litten is the only 7th gen starter that's at least half-way interesting.

Litten is my favorite as well (because, quoting my past self from when my friend thought I was crazy for saying I'd choose Litten over Poplio: "Because kitten") but....it's also the only one that I don't really like it's evolutions because I like Primarina better than it's previous evolutions and have no preference for Rowlets evolutions but I really don't like Incineroar...
So I'm that one person with a level 100 Litten holding an everstone...

i remember hoping into the water in alola (next to kiawe's trial) and a couple seconds after that i found a random shiny pyukumuku (also i had never seen one before so idk that it was a shiny untill i saw the sparkles)

Video Idea: Shiny-Shackled Mini-Nuzlocke
John and Mikey play on randomized ROMs that have progressed midway into the game (e.g. right before Norman’s Gym) with Shiny odds of 1/100, and a total of 8 random non-Shiny Pokémon (six in the party; two in Box 1, all the same level). For every Shiny someone finds, the finder has to sack a non-Shiny ‘Mon to the death box after the battle (in addition to the normal Nuzlocke Death and Encounter rules, which apply to Shinies and regulars alike). The person to progress farther into the game before putting all of their non-Shiny ‘Mon in the Death Box is the winner. If both players progressed to the same point in the story before losing their last regular ‘Mon, the tie is broken by who loses their last regular first.

Wild Kratts was my Childhood… I loved and still do love it…. Anybody else hate that in Normal sun and moon you have to play for almost 10 minuets just to get to the starters?
Rule change idea: instead of restarting every time you find a shiny why not set a progression goal (such as fighting every trainer up to the first badge or trail captain) and tally up all the shinies at the end of each episode then do a total count after you finish the game... it would make it so the individual speed doesnt matter only the choices you make and your luck and would make it a cool episodic style and might get viewers hooked

You could make this a little more fair by adding more competition: if you kept track of how many trainer battles you won. So the first person who finds the shiny stops battling, but the other person has to keep battling to match that number of trainer battles before finding a shiny themselves. If they surpass the number, they win. That way you can’t stall or have less chances at encounters because you will need to train a certain amount to pass trainers but there’s more strategy and a little more fairness.
