Your boy's each have a treasure to remind them of their childhood and how much their very talented and creative Mum loved them- you did great, Johanna!
This is why you are my favorite artist and why this is my favorite channel! Not a daunting thousand steps tutorial, but a clear, doable and very helpful one which leaves you with a gorgeous result in the end. Such an amazing keepsake for your boys, they will love it for sure..Thanks for sharing sweetheart❤❤❤
They turned out so nice. I love that you are showing how you don't need a bunch of special materials to make a journal cover. Cereal boxes are perfect and so is cardstock. Excellent instructions as well.
this is such an amazing example for giving the extra portion of appreciation to children (and how much time you invest for your children); to LIFE itself and its incredible value from the very beginning ... Your boys willl love their mom for this- FOR SURE -their whole lifetime ... and may they have a very long life! So beautiful.
I am blown away, these are absoluately beautiful. Watching this you could really feel the love you have for your kids and making such a timeless treasure for them. I deeply want to make my son a journal. I have no more room in his baby book. I have no idea where to begin with journaling.
Heather maybe begin with a few current photos and some lists of things he likes + dislikes at the moment. You could ask him a series of questions and write out the answers (depending how old he is).. keep any drawings or artworks and glue them in. Starting is always the hardest but once you do the ideas will flow! X
Johanna Clough, I am always inspired and amazed by the beautiful creations you make. Thank you for your advice! I can't wait to get started. My son is almost 3 in a few months and this is such a perfect age to jot down the silly and loving things he says. Looking forward to your next project videos!
I love the way these books look. You have inspired me to make a book about each of my grandchildren. Now is the time while they are still young enough to remember all the little things as they've grown and then continue to add going forward. I have only recently discovered your channel and have done a little binge watching. My husband may regret that you introduced me to AliExpress! Your children are going to have such treasures from you for the rest of their lives.
These are awesome! I started making TNs for each of my grandchildren after I realized my house couldn’t hold a million 12x12 albums. At the end of their TNs, I write them each a note. Putting them together like you did is perfect. Thank you for sharing😊
Hi Johanna, I love these albums made up of the TN you have kept for your boys. Once again, you've wowed me with your creativity and technique. Thank you for walking us through all the steps, and explaining why you do what you do. Very inspiring, thanks for sharing!
Hi Johanna, the end result of your boy's treasured books was fantastic, especially the tied up strings at the end. Looks amazing & I'm sure your boys will just love receiving them. Your instructions are very clear & professional. I just love watching you create!
Would you consider doing a process video on sewing on paper; tension settings, needle type, ways to make the pages pretty. I liked the idea if stitching horizontal to give a secret writing spot and other ideas you had for pages, cards, envelopes.
These books are sooo bold and beautiful!! I love that cereal card stock covers, especially with those darling photos of your boys, became places to hold sweet moments!! Soooo precious!!!! The twine and eyelet elements are a lovely touch too ... always so inspired by your techniques and creativity, but Erintube360 says it all best!! XX💕
Fantastic Johanna. I really like this your junk journal. Thank you for sharing your creation from scratch. I always follow you and you are a source of inspiration for me.
These are wonderful. So glad you shared how you made these, thank you so much! My boys are in their 20's but would love to work on something like this for them.
The kids are so fortunate to have a mom who documents their childhood. They will love it! Time well spent! You do a wonderful job. How do you print the pictures? I think in a video you said that you usually print them once a month. I had a little printer, I spent a lot on it but it never worked really well. Might just take my pictures to a store to print them off my phone. I’m a grandma and have to rely on copying photos from FB of my grands. I need to figure out how to copy them from Instagram because they post more pics on there. I’m sure there is a tutorial on UA-cam. Sorry, just thinking out loud. you’ve inspired me to journal... I need to figure out a few things first. Thank, Johanna! You are lovely and creative!!💕
Thank u for explaining the process so well. And for many small small tips. Would love to see the flip through. Hope u and kids are doing well. Tfs.😊🤗💖💖💖
Johanna I love how these journals turned out❣️❣️❣️I have two boys but they are all grown up … but I could make one for my grandson❣️What type of thread do you pull through the eyelets on the spine❓❓❓THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH FOR SHARING❣️❣️❣️
This is soooo sooo amazing !! I m glad that I came across this!! So so beautiful nd a wonderful gift for our loved ones. U r too creative!! Too good!! I just love it!! Good job mumma!!
Love this! I want to do covers with cereal boxes, just wanted to know your thoughts on how long the covers will last. i.e., will they crumble 25 years from now? Not sure on acidity of cereal box cardboard & I know they won't last forever, but how can I make them last a long time?
Lovely work Johanna 😊 I make my junk journals using boxes 😊 I am using to scrap in also as I am over doing 12x12 lauouts. Thanks for the inspiration xx
You boys will treasure these. When you glued the front pages on, how did you prevent the bubbling? This was the reason I purchased you tutorial to prevent this.
I loved it, so beautiful cardboard cover, I love your videos, I'm so happy when UA-cam send me a notification of a new video from you, please keep making this awesome creations.
These are absolutely gorgeous. You never cease to amaze me in your creativity. I've got two kind of random questions. 1-Did you use a filter for the boys' photos? They are lovely. Also, do you know what size thread you use? I ordered some waxed thread the other day for some binding projects and it feels awfully thick.
Hi Johanna lovely journals. How did u attached the signatures to the cover. Did u stitch it. The signatures ate individually stitch too right? So it's double stitch. M trying to figure it out as I want to do one for my daughter 😊 Thanks hun xx
Hope I like!! 😍👍 I loved loved the idea iv just made my granddaughters fabric album so now I have the idea for both my grandsons as iv kept everything they have ever made me oh I’m so excited now , thank you so much for sharing your fab ideas xxxx

I would love to see your entire journal/craft room and how you “attempt” or “completely” organize it completely. A reality tour.
