You made a statement that confused me( 17:52 ). You said if you delete a file on the mapped drive from explorer it would be deleted on the NAS also. Maybe I misunderstood mapped drives ,but isn't the mapped drive in explorer really located on the NAS? There are not two instances of that data, one on the NAS and the other on the PC are there? Maybe I misunderstood your comment.
@@corduroy73 That is a fair price, I think...Lucky you...=) Here in Europe the expected prices are in 650+ EUR range...but they are still not officialy available, so these prices might get some corrections...
Hi, thank you for your content. I am new to NAS devices and I find your videos very helpful. If I want to use a qnap for storing video library, would the Qsirch app be able to find keywords included in the video metadata?
Near the end where you're talking about myQNAPCloud - you mention secure ddns - I assume thats setting up a dynamic dns resolver using the name you chose - is it _just_ DynDNS to public IP the NAS is connected by, or is that also setting up some form of VPN/proxy?
Hi, I have a couple of colleagues that I like to share a folder on my qnap server in wich they can upload videos to over internet. Is its the best way for this? or how would you setup a collaboration folder?
@@nascompares Great just aboed you! Me and some friends want to switch from Cloud (Google-Drive) to private NAS (also with online access). But we are actually all complete NAS-Noobs. So your tutorials were basically our guide - and will be next week too.
@@nascompares Thank you Sir! I got the QNAP TS-453D, 16GB of SO-DIMM, three Toshiba MG09 18TB (for 36TB Raid 5) here and those will be ready for you :-)
