As a person who's usually anti-doping, seeing this makes me want to make doping legal. He's so good. That speed getting under the bar is insane. From contact at the hips to under the bar, just instantaneous. Marvelous.
I remember when these came out I watched them day by day, it was a great time to be alive for UA-cam WL, so little content was out really then, and Ilya comes out and posts day by day like that and it was so exciting. Also sort of a WL "Bigger By the Day" kinda vibe going on, too, haha.
The 3rd pull in ilya's snatch and his jerk are some of the greatest things caught on film, I wish I had had the experience of seeing these videos come out wk by wk,
@2:10 Are we gonna let the casual 190kg power clean(!!) / front squat / power squat jerk pass without any comment? What a beast. I love watching Ilya attack the weights.
In an interview he said that he never tried more than the 290 FS. He said even that was just for the lulz and to CJ 250 you need no more than a 270 FS. I think it Was in the Weightlifting house Interview from like 2 years ago but not Sure. In the same Interview he said there is a photo of him having 310 in the Frontrack but that he didnt squat it. "Just for photo" i think he said.
Can you do a video on the use of straps? Maybe you have done 1? I tend to use them for blocks, hangs and complexes? Didn’t realise it made such a difference?
11:01 I don't think I get this right, so Eoin thinks it is bad for one to practice snatch from the floor with straps on? Greatly appreciated if anyone can explain
In ilyas programming as well as the Bulgarian system, which have some similarities in terms of intensity and frequency and specificity , we saw very little back squatting. As they said, these systems heavily or exclusively favored, front squat , snatch and clean and jerk. I believe ilyas system saw slightly more variation in the form of block work and pulls and maybe some doubles. The Bulgarians just did the 3 precious mentioned lifts exclusively
Guys, when Sigma failed lab test, do you have any data on what it failed on or where to read about this or see video reg. this? I cannot really find too much about it anywhere, but remember having heard on about this on your video dooing your great body of works informing about how things are being done in the labworld. Thks. guys.
Hey lads, not really related but just wanted to know if you had any advice for someone going through an emotionally tough time. Went through a breakup and just doing my best but I need some pep from the lads.
Routine, sleep, good diet, consistency in training, mastery of crafts, friend time, don't get back with her, learn a new craft, don't get back with her. In 6 months you'll be all good and wonder what the big deal was.
@@TheTwsa I meant I got it doing front squats. This was about 3 years ago, and haven't had a twinge or felt any pain there since. When I got it, I just rested it, didn't do any lower body work, went for walks. Just did benching and got it pretty up. Went away after about 3 months
In my experience, slamming them on the safety bars for rack pulls and rows etc. My commercial gym has (cheap) Eleikos and they're all starting to get too bent to do the lifts on.
This leaves me wondering what a typical monday in Sikastan looks like
4:30am wakeup: stanozolol
4:45am-8pm: maximal snatch’s and cleans
8pm-4:30am: sleep + stanozolol and glucose drip (max recovery)
gif of Borat dancing chest to chest with another man in the street
Nothing better than watching two Irish lads watch weightlifting
especially when they're watching ilya
Lads nothing would be better than to watch training footage with your commentary. It's truly my favorite sport-related media content.
Nothing beats me, a weightlifter, watching fellow weightlifters watch a weightlifter!
Speaking of Ilya's spotty hairline - your cut is looking fresh, Eoin.
The story about training on the same bar as Ilya was hysterical
Every day in Kazakhstan would be glorious!
Always up for a bit of ilya
10/10 would watch every day in Kazakhstan!
13:01
Thank you daire for saying what needs to be said.
“230 on a Monday”, that should be a T-Shirt
“2 turdy on a monday” would absolutely get it

Gotta give love for the super creative timestamp naming boys
Those old Ilya videos were the best Non-Vlogs ever
The 3rd pull in ilya's snatch and his jerk are some of the greatest things caught on film, I wish I had had the experience of seeing these videos come out wk by wk,
Speaking of famous barbells, I trained with Jonathan Edwards' barbell at Gateshead Stadium back in 2006.
Lads i feel like we need more of these videos... and definitely more of Ilya!
This was so good. Scene these all before but your commentary is fucking hilarious. Do more please

i'm sure he would lie in an interview with Seb. I wouldn't tell him the spicy details either
@haneefm7020 no i think the one you can watch on yt.
I watched Ilya's video quite a few times. I tried his aggressive walk up to the bar grip and rip, it only works after 3x Red Bulls.
Never stop producing this content
Honestly, some of the funniest commentary these vids are the best. I watched the whole thing
Congrats on 25k disciples of St. Sika
Boys. More. Please!!!
Watching ilyas videos reminds me that with friends, bad days arent so much bad days as jokes.

Very nicee
never was interested in weightlifting, but now I am.
11:01 I don't think I get this right, so Eoin thinks it is bad for one to practice snatch from the floor with straps on?

Throughout this video he has the look of a man that sells ice cream and sunglasses during the day and Ketamine after 6pm.
Great!
I want to see every day in Kazakhstan
Please help, what artist is discussed at 14:17 ?
Let's watch all the days in Kazakhstan
Two guys talking about how the third guy is dressed.. Suspicious
Show us all the Kazakh days
I'm watching this after the Irish just Kazhaked the Al Blacks in Dunedin. Each word is like a needle in my heart
I tested positive after watching this video
Please give me all the days in Kazakhstan

Do you think Wes Kitts is natural or are you sceptical?
Absolute stallion
And I thought I was a boss when I hit a 75 snatch pr after three attempts….. this man attempting 185 snatch 5 times on his third session of the day :/
I want to see wednesdays in kaz
You say he havs a herniated disc, and I think, frontsquat is actually quite good for herniated disc; What do you think, Sika?
I got mine doing front squats. So yeah, they're pretty good

Is Ilyin training seriously again?
Yaaaaa
does anyone here know if these guys do/host weightlifting camps for people? cause I would be absolute game for it.
They've run a couple in London. Had Gabriel Sincraian there for the last one
@@GavinHeff none in Ireland? for non-EU types to travel too and learn the trade?

It's one hell of an LG ad!

Bro Eoin.. at my University gym I used to train at, all the oly bars were bent.
Wth these idiots doing with em!?
In my experience, slamming them on the safety bars for rack pulls and rows etc. My commercial gym has (cheap) Eleikos and they're all starting to get too bent to do the lifts on.
@@AfferbeckBeats it's such a shame..
rack pulls / other dumb crap dropping on the cage’s safety bars. dumping the bar on the safeties when they’re set too low for the half squatters
First video he did 140+170...... Just before 2014 worlds he did +190 and 242........jesus.......
Pretty sure he didn't go for 300 because he didn't need to do it and it was too risky
I wonder what he could do without drugs..
