I don't think is overbuffed. We comparing a full highroll beast comp with a taped together mech build here. Add one beatboxer to the mech players board, and he would trample the beast high roll.
That wasn't exactly a maxed out beast board though. It could have gone even further with a Golden Bird or a Golden Tidus, and this wasn't exactly up fast compared to what is possible if someone just hits all the pieces early on,
I guess with lasher being on 4, it means getting that high roll version is super easy
true. and he had so many tokens spawning that he actually helped him grow with coiler for example.
Agree +50/+50 scale on turn 12 doesn’t seem overbuffed .. I don’t get the hate on beasts

Beasts are playable again. They can still easily be outscaled by the other tribes but hey the meta is more fun with theres more options.
IMO this isn’t necessarily overbuffed. In this meta, stuff like giga mechs and shellemental scam thrash even the craziest highroll beasts. I had a game similar to this one, but with golden tidus, macaw, and savior. Like his board I also had 2 golden thrashers. Crazy highroll and they ended up as a 700/700 and a 900/900. I got second to a shellemental player with 1000/1000 sized minions.
I don’t necessarily disagree is the thought that beasts might’ve been over buffed, but I feel like one of the bigger problems is the eyes spell. It just feels insane to be able to secure triples so easily, especially in a meta like this where almost every build has at least 1 card at tier 4 or below that is a core pieces of the strategy. Yes, 6 does feel expensive, but if you think about it, it costs 6 gold to buy the 2nd and 3rd minions to create a triple and you don’t need to spend gold to roll. I honestly don’t know if the price needs to increase, the tavern tier needs to increase, or if it is an effect that simply shouldn’t be in the game, but something about it needs to change.
How to nerf beasts: Rigor is T4 gain +1/+1. Change it to a card like Rock Rock (gain +1 hp / gain +1 ad and switch each turn).
Or make it T5
I also don't understand the backstage buff. 4/5 pretty much wins you the first 2 rounds guaranteed. Having to take a point of damage is a small price to pay every turn for that. 1 damage 1 time is nothing.
Yeah, it’s super dumb, and has no synergy with demons anymore.
@@PoorEdwardno it works better than staying on board and ping yourself every turn, but demons really need that discover back

Trigore is in a weird spot I feel like... It's not broken on 4 EXCEPT the fact that most builds will end up with 2 golden trigores. That's when it becomes unfun and perhaps unbalanced so that would be the only reason for it to be on 5 for me. I don't know if it's because they're trying to get people to build beasts again but I feel like i'm seeing more trigores than I did before in my shops, sometimes I feel like bob is trying to nudge me into beasts. Also people just don't tech that 4/3 remove reborn/taunt when it's litterally one of the best cards against this kind of build. I'd be curious to see someone try a scam build with that, ofc that would mean losing to a ton of other comps but if you're in a heavy beast lobby it could be an option.
This masochist beast direction honestly doesn't really feel like beasts. It is something I would expect from demons probably. Great game though

beast finally got decent buff and scaling when it was so horrible to play, now everyone calls it OP.
Beasts were terrible, but great for pivoting. Now they’re great and you don’t even have to pivot.
