The amount of headroom is just fantastic and the back seat is just about as usable as the Golf. My only complaint with the car is the AWFUL visibility!
Honestly it would be a hard choice for me. If the Beetle was a base 2.5 one like this (I feel like that engine was kinda strained in this car) then yes I would take an Eos. But turbo Beetles? I'll take that any day.
I reeeeeally want one of these but I am stuck wit my 04 Taurus, but I am looking for a used 2012-2014 Tiguan SE for my next car because I wanted the 4motion.
Hey! I am an Auto Tech Student and My first car was a 2013 2.5 Beetle with the fender sound system and navigation, leather seats, sun roof, everything. It is a very nice car and is still my car today I can't seem to get rid of it because I love it. It is very light and peppy and amazing on gas. The 2.5 is the same engine used in the Jetta and for a regular gasoline engine it does its job nicely. If you want a fun, affordable car, I say its a great first car, especially for longevity as turbo maintenance is never fun in the long run. Bought mine about a year or two ago for $8,900 and its worth every penny. Also if you get to that point there is a decent amount of aftermarket, the 5 cylinder engine can take a nice turbo, and be very impressive with modifications, quickly outmatching the smaller 2.0 models. If you get a chance, snatch up this hunny of a car.
I recently bought a 2013 2.5 black beetle and I wouldn't have chosen a different car. I love my baby
I have a white one but mines has the sunroof, touch screen radio and push start button. Love it!
Nice car. Looking at a red 2.5 manual. Always Loved the beetle.
I was actually pretty surprised after sitting in one of these. Roomier than I thought on the inside.
I'd take a turbo any day! The 2.5 is a really rev happy and fun engine but in this car it just feels strained and like its pulling too much weight.

Great review! However, would you recommend a Beetle over an Eos?
I really like these in the Toffee brown color, and Vinyard Vine FTW, i'm wearing a t-shirt right now. lol
What is the specific model?
This is such a NOVA "J.A.P." car...
Would you say it's a good first car?
