I am currently watching Hitchcock's "Suspicion" and Joan Fontaine has a line of dialogue where she says "What on earth are you talking about" and it triggered CHAMELEONS right away. This lead me to a google search and sonofabitch I was wrong it came from this film instead!
I saw them (Chameleons Vox) at the Woolly Mammoth in Brisbane on the 11th of Jan 2018. Been a fan since I first heard them of the John Peel show as a teenager back in Scotland. Never got to see them live until now. They opened the set with that sample launching straight into Don't Fall. Talk about tingles!!
Hiding inside a room that's running red The place to be exists only in your head In the focus of fear within the creases of a dress, a female dress How did I come to be drowning in this mess Ah, fucking mess
So we now know those immortal words were spoken by Peter Lawford (as Lawrence Tyburt Patterson Jr) and Nella Walker (as his mother, Mrs. Ella Patterson).. :)
There is the line "What on earth are you talking about" spoken by Ruth Hussey to Ray Milland in the 1944 film The Uninvited which sounds exactly the same I must say. A scene upstairs in the house about half an hour into the film. I always thought it was partly from there, but obviously not.
I love how the internet has the ability to solve the same ridiculous question all of us Chameleons fans have had for 30+ years.
WOW PREACH!

Thank god I can now know where those words from 'Don't Fall' were spoken !

The phrase 'what on earth are you talking about?' is quite common. I say it every time I hear Donald Trump speak.
The Chameleons " D'ont fall.."
Well found
Cue awesome guitar intro...
You should put this as a video response to one of the don't fall videos. =]
Well done!
DON'T FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALL!
Wow, what a find! Its strange how, in its original setting, it seems completely out of place.
The Chameleons!!! wooooooooooooo!!
@guyfromnewcastle It's just not the same without the mad intro!

'I don't want to go to college'...

Aha..so he was quoting Sophocles..
on the same theme, anyone know where the dialogue comes from on the Prisoners of the Sun track??
'I don't want to go to college..'.... Yeah I wanna know too!
So.. It was a quote from Socrates...
No, Sophocles. So-crates was another chap in bill and ted's excellent adventure :)
Dooooooooooooooont faaaaaaaaall
But what does the phrase mean?
It refers to men who, past middle-age, try to reclaim their youth. AKA a mid-life crisis.
Terrible translation in subtitle mode!
@forkliftkiller haha, i was just going to say that
