    POWERSLIDE’s collection of Combat Rocker frames is designed to give urban freeride skaters everything they’re looking for - different wheel setups and innovative features that will help bring your skating experience to a whole new level. The Combat Rocker 260 - 80 is a fantastic urban freeride frame that gives you the stability of four wheels while still being agile and responsive thanks to it’s innovative rocker system. Made high-grade aluminum, the frame is lightweight and rigid, helping augment responsiveness. The frame’s HXG rocker system incorporates hexagon-shaped spacers that can be adjusted to six different positions and each wheel can be rockered individually, giving you virtually limitless options. For ultimate balance and control, the POWERSLIDE Combat Rocker 260 - 80 frame is engineered around the famous TRINITY 3-point mounting system. TRINITY connects to the boot with three points of contact which creates a channel and brings the wheels as close to boot as possible which gives you a low center of gravity, along with improved stability, control, and power transfer. If you’re looking for an innovative, high-performance urban freeride frame, the hunt is over.

    There's a 1mm rocker option "hidden"...
    3rd wheel full down, 2nd&4th 0.5mm up and 1st wheel 1.5mm up 😁
    You create a slight forward tilt which is a bit strange first but it's quite amazing for backward skating and gazelles... And for some reason all slides seem easier to me 😅
    Thanks PS for a fun frame 😘 (we need more Eugen for more recognition of it 😜)

      You could set front and rear wheels on setting 2 or 4 down with the middle wheels set to 1 or 5 down. This would provide a 1mm rocker without the additional forward lean.

      @@tshook0912 yep, true... Also came to my mind two days ago and I already tried it when I had the frame new... I found it weird back then with outside wheels closer, gotta try with max wheelbase 👍🏻 once it's dry again 🤨

      @@ericbernardi8116 I'm contemplating these frames and your post prompted me to think more deeply about it, so thank you for opening my mind to other possibilities! I think one of the NN versions, VM maybe, has a setup like the one you described. Mimicking it with these frames would be fun to experiment with too.

      @@tshook0912 😎 I got it because it has the height of 90's but almost lenght of 100 frames and is Trinity... I mostly skate with a 0.5 rocker and it always feels like coming home after I skated other frames...
      After I took out the shock absorber from my Intuitions the forward tilt was barely noticeable anymore sadly that made the Sway just a tiny bit too short 😅
      I guess the UFS frames from NN have that tilt like the Wizard or Rockin frames as lots of UFS boots are flat...
      It's so interesting what 1mm can change in skating 😲

    Nice to see how it works. What I would like to see next is a 3 wheel frame with a spring loaded middle wheel. I think Rollerblade realized that 3 wheel skates needed a design that was unique which is why they made the Coyote and the Outback X. Air filled wheels that deform and/or a suspension frame that helps maintain 3 points of contact at all times.

    • @okashiromi5541
      @okashiromi5541 Рік тому +1

      That's an interesting idea. Why do you think a suspension would help? Like, what will it bring to the table?

    • @jcardin2
      @jcardin2 Рік тому +1

      @@okashiromi5541 It seems that regular triskates can have some drawbacks once they develop a rocker naturally or by wheel changing. With rocker you have less grip so that dragstops are very weak and wet surfaces are extra slippery. Instability all around though they do become more agile. Suspension on the front or back would likely be undesirable due to loss of power transfer and stability issues. Skating backwards would likely be negatively affected. With middle wheel or frame suspension you may not have to worry about unwanted rockering issues or need a special axle to maintain a flat setup.

      I have some FR/Seba frames with the center wheel moved closer to the back and it eliminated most of the instability. I think Flying Eagle sells frames like this too. Ultimately though, I like the subtle ~1mm rocker with 4 wheels more, so I don't use them anymore. Hope this helps if you decide to experiment with other 3 wheel frames.

    I skate a 84/90/90/84 which is a 3 mm banana rocker, this setup is a bliss for freestyle, so much better than a 2 mm rocker and all these natural rockered frames.
    So if you make a 4x90 mm frame with a 3 mm banana rocker, I'll buy it right away.
