    a MAP of 160 is never "normal"...need to take that out of your video. In the clinical setting, we want MAPs > 65 usually, if we are pressing a patient in neurogenic shock (e.g. spinal cord injury), we want the MAP to be > 85, but 160? No no, wayyyyyy too high.

      the real explanation is that the brain can self-regulate flow at median arterial pressure of 60-150 mmhg, however as you noted a high median arterial pressure is certainly abnormal.
