tR Drignock he was talking about the Kara cancels that happen in the za. It flashes an indicator in one direction but the attack comes from another. A shitty streamer banned a guy from his tourney for using them, even though similar Karas exist in nearly every other fighting game. People who're shit at the game want it fixed but don't understand that it could fuck up the entire buffer system, on top of making the game way less competitive.
I'm probably just dumb and don't know what you mean by buffer system (maybe you just mean the time window to press both buttons to do the zone attack), but I have noticed that attack indicator abuse before... Though I don't understand your reasoning at all about how fixing it would make things worse... Some classes have slow guard stance switching, so it's literally impossible to change to one side and back again against an attack that was "cancelled" into a (high-speed) zone attack... That seems more like downright exploiting rather than being "competitive"... Good to hear that abusing it will disqualify people from tournaments though, even if I've never been in one...
The solution to me seems like area attack needs its own dedicated button. I normally use mouse and keyboard, but I just messed with the controller a bit to look at the controls and such, and it feels like R3 would be the best fit as far as controllers go (went into practice mode to pretend R3 was zone attack, and it seems quite easy to press). R3 is currently the "camera fix" button, which seems completely unnecessary in this game.
Every video game has an input buffer which essentially is a system that processes and prioritizes your inputs so as to more regularly execute your intended input rather than your actual one. Its the reason that the game will adjust from a light atk to a ZA, because its assuming that you intended the latter. if you were to adjust the buffer system to make that kara cancel impossible then not only would it become nearly impossible to input a ZA, but it would also make other inputs far more precise and combos would not be nearly as intuitive. Coming from more traditional fighting games I really do find it distasteful that he was banned. Many other games' most popular mechanics were unintended glitches. I've adjusted by learning where the ZAs for each character comes from, if someone is using the cancel than just hold your guard to that side, punish them how you will. That's the distinction that makes other feigns still valid, you can strike from any direction after a regular cancel.
So y’all know, official tourneys, you know the ones held by Ubisoft, consider all tactics and exploits fair, because it’s not broken, it’s how the games combat system works. Having the timing and know how to pull off these things in a professional setting is a lot higher on difficulty, because all those people understand exactly how these moves work and can counter them. Just because some dude holding his own tourney banned a guy for using it don’t mean Ubi thinks it’s a disqualifier. Go back and watch the season preview tourneys Ubi held, people were using every move and exploit possible, because that’s how real competitive play is supposed to be.
I think that last guy meant "Zone Attack" bug. I dont know if dodging to cancel the attack is a bug. I think he was just salty ;)

for those that don't know the ZA bug refers to zone attack I believe
you can trick people into thinking you'll do another attack from another angle if you piano your keys and say, push heavy then pull right trigger to do a zone attack, so your attack icon flashes in different directions and normal human beings cannot react in time to certain characters like peacekeeper

Why does no one ever talk about how cartoonz literally spams the same combo over and over again on every class he plays?
He did say in one of his videos that the character classes only have 6 or 7 moves.
So if one player sees something that works, they stick to it, it's easier for others to master a few combos but if you're the Jack of All Trades type, go ahead.

20:40: za = zone attack. PK has a bug where the UI indicates it is coming from the top before it switches to the side so it makes the nearly impossible to react to.

Is it bad that I know when this was recorded via the shape of the map? This was the night things started going bad for the knights. Over the next several turns the Samurai pushed right towards our Stronghold and the Viking applied pressure. Samurai nearly had the Stronghold surrounded with 2 of our 3 territories lost. Thankfully now my fellow Knights and I have pushed them back a few territories.... but for how long.

Apprently "za glitch" is a zone attack glitch for PK. Peacekeepers can cancel a right light attack into a zone attack. The hit indicator on the opponent's screen shows an incoming right attack from the Peacekeeper, when in actuality that attack has been cancelled into a zone attack which comes from her left.
What I read said it started after a 1v1 tourney hosted by DMBrandon, when a guy named Keehu or something was accused of abusing said glitch to take the win.
Cartoonzs try using the Conqueror. It's really hard for me to learn the character, I'd just like to see what you think about him.

MADMAN SLADE he really doesn't lmao the berserker has faster attacks, does a shit ton of damage, and can keep attacking through blocks. Orochi is just agile which is the point of a "assassin| counter-attacker"
_lilbull808_ Coming from someone who has prestige Orochi a few times and Zerker, the Zerker is unbelievably slower and is not smart to go for more than one attack because at higher levels you will get parried. Orochi's is overly fast for his damage output and the fact that, at the highest level of play, can take half your health in less than a second is to much. Its mainly that overhead slash does nearly 2 bars of damage.
To a peacekeeper yes, but they are the lowest health of the whole selection. Iv done the same move on wardens, kensais, etc. the peacekeeper takes the most damage because that's just how the character is. Not to mention it's not hard to block or side step.. but it is what it is
MADMAN SLADE No he's balanced, I main Lawbringer but fight mostly orochis and they're pretty easy to kill.

I got accused of using a bug yesterday I didn't even know existed too. Apparently the shugoki's heavy attacks aren't parryable if you unlock or something during them, I don't know I had to google it. I just spammed heavy a lot cause I suck with him right now lol.
