Girls giving their numbers out means nothing, unless their interest is shown the next day or after. It doesn’t automatically mean it will lead to anywhere such as date. Sometimes, they give away their phone number to avoid conflict, sometimes they do it in order to be polite and neutralise the awkwardness of the situation and sometimes they may give away their number just simply to make you go away and block you after or not respond. And sure, they may also genuinely want to know and date you. My point is, when a girl gives out her number it doesn't GUARANTEE anything at all. And trust me, literally anyone - if they stand in the streets and stop every other girl - can fill their contact list with numbers. And again, UNTIL/UNLESS you get to the point of meeting/dating them, girl giving you her number doesn't mean anything at all. It's not a big deal and not a huge milestone.
