I think you will find this episode I did helpful on how to stop comparing yourself to others: ua-cam.com/video/cNiyD6_T9Hc/v-deo.html When it comes to coping with expectations of others, it can help to reflect on why you feel obligated to cope with the expectations. It usually comes from a place of fear. Are you afraid of rejection, judgment, conflict, letting them down, and/or confrontation? Once you've identified these fears then you can work on mastering them by starting to face them and acknowledge that although these feelings are uncomfortable, you can cope with them!

    You mean grinding and clenching your teeth till you crack a molar and need root canal work, or when your not busy - especially when watching a movie or sitting in traffic constantly biting your finger nails till they hurt?

    to be honest I can never write strengths. I was brought up Irish Catholic and that was called boasting. Its ingrained into us Irish by the Catholic Church to be self abnegating. I am trying all my life to untangle this toxic catholic self hate they have turned into a virtue.
