What a spineless jerk. He stands there and let's everyone insult his bride-to-be, not just his parents but his sister as well. He may love her and she may love him, but even if he doesn't love her but is going along with some matchmaker's decision for him that his mother set up, as a man respecting a woman, he shouldn't allow her to be treated like that by his parents or his sister. The bride-to-be is more than aware she's not wealthy like he is and he doesn't love her, so she's already facing a loveless marriage, but to know what his family truly thinks of her as his wife and a member of their family is disheartening to say the least. If they are so against this marriage, why go along with the matchmaker's match? Just pay her more money to find the person his parents want him to marry - he won't disappoint because he's gutless and will go along with what his mommy wants him to do anyway. Why carry this farce along to this point, where they're shouting across a dinner table and making ugly comments? I'm glad she's speaking up for herself because he'll never defend her, never support her, never protect her from his family's venom. If she goes through with this circus of a marriage, she'd better maintain that courage, self esteem, and self confidence or they'll wipe the floor with her every opportunity they get. They're looking for male heirs in that family and she's going to be nothing more than a baby maker until they get at least one grandson: then she becomes dispensable and disposable. He can run out of the room all apologies to everyone but he couldn't utter a word in the room, esp. to his sister, to butt out of his business and keep her nasty comments to herself. To incite a shouting match and insult the bride's parents as well was beyond rude and vicious and he's apologizing for his sister who would never apologize for herself. He's courageous when his family isn't anywhere around, but he's putty in their hands when they are. I hope the bride keeps walking because marrying into this family will be marrying into a riptide of disappointment, absolute control, walking on eggshells and parental and sibling overbearing interference and a future filled with misery.

Актрису не сразу узнала,привыкла видеть ее с рыжинкой в волосах,первая дорама с ней Ода к радости,актера,играющего ее жениха тоже знаю,ну а работы Сюй Кая после Академии всегда смотрю.В общем ,актерский состав классный.Кстати,выходит дорама здесь же,на ютубе в озвучке,правда ,не знаю,сколько серий вышло.Знаю,что в ВК озвучено 16 было,дорама ещё выходит

The only two reasons. In my country it is thoroughly understood that a partnership is between the two people in question and their family's should leave them be for the most part. You're very narrow minded if you think every country is as overreacting and meddling as yours.

De esas madres que asfixian, quieren pasarnos el mensaje que es una madre maravillosa que se preocupa por la hija pero lo que veo es que el hijo le importa menos que nada y mientras creía que el novio era pobre quería que se separaran y ahora la presiona para casarse.
The boyfriend’s mother is no better. She just hides her nastiness better. She lets her daughter do all the talking and hardly corrects her behavior, why? Because she wants it to be said but then pretend that the daughter is out of line because she’s pregnant and they shouldn’t mind so much.

The scrip writers have per usual messed up what would have been a really great drama?
Ridiculous amount of episodes involving that stupid overbearing mother and the marriage theme which any clown could tell that this relationship and his parents could never possibly work if they actually got married..
The two leads should have got together way back in this show and then just maybe this drama would have had some realism to it??
As it stands it's so over the top with a ridiculous supposedly ex boyfriend and a conniving mother etc etc that I wouldn't be surprised if 2 viewers out of 3 drop this show seriously!!!
One of the worst dramas I’ve seen with good actors in other dramas but here… the storyline bad with mostly only acting of the main actress and a mother who is not worth of this name, the also the father get lost if I had parents like them I never had any contact with… then the main couple no chemistry… all in all a negative drama on and on … most scenes i skipped when the mother was in it and she was mostly in it … then there was no romance in this story … bad for this two good actors for doing such a bad drama it’s nothing good for your career …
