Hi, I can't understand exactly at how many engine rpm the valve closes. But does it also close when decelerating with closed throttle? (engine brake?) Has anyone tried eliminating the valve completely and do you notice a difference in performance?
You can use a ARROWS Header to remove it, but you must also remove the drive unit and put an eliminator soket on (or reprogam the ECU). I think this will remove the lack of tourqe in mide range of rpm's ( not because you remove the valve, more while you also remove the mid exhaust silencer).
@@DarkmanGSX-S Hi, I mean eliminating the valve on the original exhaust. Who knows if anything changes? my mechanic says no but I don't want torque losses.
@@VivereVolando76 As i seid before: Elimination of the valve on the original Header should do nothing but getting a F1 fail from the ECU. If you want to improve power and torque, my believe is remove the mid silencer. Years ago someone opend it and weld a pipe in ( cheap way) (search for that on YT).
@@DarkmanGSX-S I can't explain myself because I don't know English well. The exhaust valve servo does not work well on my motorcycle. the mechanic advised me to eliminate the exhaust valve directly using an eliminator. So the valve always remains open and with the limiter on the connector I don't have a malfunction light. But I'm afraid of losing torque, contrary to what the mechanic tells me. I don't know if I'm clear 😅
@@VivereVolando76 He is right, the valve is only for noise reduction ( my beleave). In the video you can see that only in 3rd gear with full throtle the valve closed for s short time. As he told you to remove the servo you need a eliminator or you can send the ECU to a specialist to reprogrm it.
I hate that thing. No reason to have it with stock exhaust. I put an arrow slip on mine and believe it or not, it sounds really good. I will eventually put headers on it. I have a few videos on what the silencer sounds like. Not super crazy but it is noticeable. The arrow slip on has a very big outlet.
Hi there, the (every) slip on makes only minor difference cause the main thing is the underside muffler. Look for a Video where the thing is cut open and you will know why.
Could have been a pretty useful video. Unfortunately you drove almost the whole Video only in first 3 gears with low throttle but high revs. Thats the engine status where the valve is opened most of the time. Next time, please shift through all gears and also use high trottle positions (e.g. like you are overtaking sb.). It would also be helpful if you would note down in which gear you currently are. Anyway, thanks for the video.
Hi what do you think dose the restiction in the exhaust (some magic)? For torque increase on engines normally is vvt used as hondas VTEC. The restriction of an exhaust leads to overheating or carbonising. With this vid i only want to know how often or long the exhaust ist restricted. So if i had to change the exhaust header or leave it till i have the time an the money to do it.
👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯

Hello Darkman,
Do you think this valve is only for noise reduction or is there another use ?
Yes i think so, only noise reduction.

So basically it was stuck in closed position while riding.
No it stays most of the time open only for noise reduction it closed. I think it was need to get the approval.
