We had an overnight stay at the Tanhill a few years ago in our Cali. We were on our way to Scotland and needed a place to stop. Quite fancied staying at the highest pub in England. It was a very wet, blustery night for us too. Great night of music and would definitely stay there again.
Looks good for a few pints and entertainment May take a drive over there and do a friday night maybe. We just got back from 2 nights not far from there at a CL. Beautiful views and very chilled out.
Congratulations! She travels on the floor just behind the two front seats. She wears her harness and is tethered to the van with a strap. If you take a look at our 'dog essentials' video you'll see what we mean :) ua-cam.com/video/9SEFSB8_VJ0/v-deo.html
Thanks for the video. We’ve a van a little similar to yours on order but we’re right at the very start of our long wait :-( I hope you don’t mind a bit of feedback as to some things we’d find useful from the videos. For example, in this one you and Lucy all got soaked. What was it like trying to get all your wet stuff - and wet dog dry? You had a really blustery night with the weather. How did the pop top cope? Did you sleep upstairs? Was it noisy? Did you get any sleep? Any water ingress? I suppose it’s more of a focus on life in the van I’m after seeing than anything else. Thanks again 👍
Hi, glad you enjoyed the video. We can certainly try to get a bit more of the practicalities into our future videos, no problem, thank you for the feedback. In this trip - Lucy has a dressing gown (you'll see that in a video soon) which really helps. We kept the roof down because we don't mind sleeping downstairs and it was quite blustery. The roof could take it (up to 50mph apparently) but we didn't fancy it. No water ingress issues obviously with the roof down and we both like the sound of wind and rain on the windows too. We have had nights sleeping upstairs in those conditions and it can be a bit alarming ! Never had water ingress issues though :)

Great to hear that you had a nice evening there, it's a real experience isn't it!!
Great video guys. Crackin pub the Tan Hill 😃
Thanks! We had a great time there 👍
Best done on a push bike, then to Kirby Stephen right to Brough and then over the hills to Teesdale near where Hanna Hauxwell lived.
