- Due to el nino weather we had to cancel the Annual Lodge Sessions Group ride at Sportsmans Lodge in Sudbury but we invited everyone to join us in Val Dor Quebec for our 2nd Annual Snowmobile Sessions Ride.
In this video we arrive at Northern Outfitters Pourvoirie du Nord Chem. de la Baie-Carrière, Val-d'Or, QC J0W 2C0
We decide to take a quick ride before supper and find the 2018 Ski-doo X-RS 850 e-tec Renegade is having issues - the front shock on the rear skid is frozen solid making for a horrible ride.
UA-cam creator @mikeguliz has a mishap following a tailight that blew a turn and ends up crashing in the woods. Everyone is Ok and we get to store the 2018 in a heated garage for the night.

I had that happen at the top of golden lake, crossing the road. Fortunately, the truck that was coming before I lost all traction, crossing the road slow down.😳
yeah not fun. Was froze again on the weekend - time for a shock oil change

i know its been a tough one , only got 300 miles on my renegade this year, next year will be better, planning on joining the lodge tour with you guys next Feb@@mudbrats

Likely broken shock frozen compressed. Happened to me last month in Mt Valin. Did you go through Rouyn and over to Val Dor to get to the lodge.? If you went cross country to the lodge how was the road in terms of being bumpy or even Paved?
we went the south route (not rouyn noranda) and it wasnt even plowed - very nasty drive in, would not recommend that route even though its 30mins faster. No cell service so if we had issues we would have been screwed!
Yes the shock needs to have the oil changed. Not sure when they were done last but they heat up and cool down and build condensation in the process. That freezes and you end up with this - shock works fine once thawed - not broken, just needs to be freshened up
