It would be helpful if you showed what screw goes where. There are different size screws. Also use the length of the allenwrench to screw deep-seated screws. You seem to be struggling with the strap-on cushion too
For the channel section of the bracketry that goes underneath the seat there isn't enough room to use the long end of the allen key as your lever so they should supply you with a T-bar instead as this will tighten those screws more effectively.
It is difficult to say it suppose to have a spring that you sit rest on and you have two handle to adjust the heigh of the chair and to bring the back of the chair forward and back

When I sit down in my chair it automatically slides back down to the floor. Do you know what that issue could be? It won’t stay in high up position.
