As the subject in question, I have to say this has been a wild ride. My video was made with the best of intentions but I can see where it went off the rails. For anyone who has taken the time to look at my channel you'll see I'm not one to stir up controversies. I don't create clickbait videos and I certainly don't exist to criticize others. I don't work for Harrison and I didn't get paid to do it. They are good people over there and I simply offered my channel as a platform. While I can stand up to criticism I don't feel I deserve all of the hate directed at me. Music is supposed to be the great equalizer (pun intended), not a reason to spread anger. I want to thank Dan Worrall for trying to bring closure to the nutty side of this all. I also appreciate those who waded into the comments and offered positive or constructive comments. I'm much like many of you with a Home Studio enjoying the love of music making and learning from Pros like DW and others. Perhaps some of us can take a shot at a second chance and engage in some mutually beneficial discourse... The "other" Dan....
The Internet often dredges up the worst in us. Hard to not take attacks like these personal, but it's much more their problem than yours (not to discount the very real personal impact to you). Best wishes to everyone involved here.

I said my bit which was that it is indeed snake oil (based on the marketing) and that you are correct. That was enough involvement from me. However, some people may have lost their rag because they were accused of hero worship and blind faith and things (edit: by Lonely Rocker not saying that is right, but it IS a reason).

You shouldn't be surprised by this. There is a bell curve to every community and there are always people on the extreme end that will do things such as this. In my opinion the best reaction to this is no raction at all. Neither from you nor from Harrison. But it's too late for that now. They add a completely different perspective to music production and have really made me think twice about buying new software just because the reviews and manufacturers make bold claims. Unfortunately, this has been going on before the digital age from my recent experience. I just bought a decent 2nd hand Technics cassette deck to digitalise some old tapes with my mum on (she died last year). I researched and found similar old blogs about this particular model. In the advertising and manual, Technics decided to extend the truth about the true W&F measurements, distortion and also some of the dynamic range measurements. People were saying it was to stay competitive but they were tetchy in response to a group of audiophiles objective experiments and tried to say they were talking rubbish. Some things just don’t change. Keep it up dude, it’s invaluable work.

@@DanWorrall I think I saw at least three channels that were sceptical about the technology behind ISP and so advocated for no True Peak protection and instead maybe using Oversampling. They didn't know how ISP works so they thought they would rather turn it off. Also, of course in a blind test the one with true peak might sound worse, because it's probably more quiet and maybe a bit more compressed?
Well that's no cool, that's for sure. If one doesn't like the plugin, they don't need to buy it... they don't win anything by going around yelling at people... :(
Dan has probably been trolling the Facebook group I'm in. Well, I am cool with all comments I leave. Some people might like when someone micro-analyzes everything. I say, get comfortable with the equipment and software they personally use and get to work. In our modern world, it can be easy to get tied up in trivialities. Early audio gear had a boatload of problems and inconsistencies, yet early pioneers made memorable recordings still enjoyed today. I, personally enjoy making music. Maybe someday the work that Dan and some of the other critics will matter to me. As for now, I stick with the people giving me good tips and advice for budget recording situations. Peace, out.
Yes, I remember The Lonely Rocker when he filled in for someone's channel, I think it was White Sea Studios. He's a good dude with a good channel, and he knows a lot of stuff too. I think everyone wants to feel like they have power or importance about something. Just some people latch onto trivial circumstances like this, desperate for some feeling of importance and contribution on a subject they care about, but have no real worth in being involved in it, perhaps because they never had a worthy chance before. Then, their inexperience and actions become shortsided. All it does is then more harm, than contribution, to themselves than to any other party. Or maybe they're from Ohio and they're bored, like always.

I voiced issues with the 32C plugin at launch and had an arrogant Harrison response leading to a completely ridiculous mini battle. I just now looked for my thread and there are only 47 comments - all of them good! Hey Harrison, removing negative reviews does not make your product better!
To say it with the words of a wise man: if a plugin helps you to get faster where you want, go with it! (even if that plugin isn't doing what it says to be doing).
