This version of NGE would have Shinji be a down on his luck private detective with a thirsty as hell land lady, a redhead rival PI who wanted to jump his bones as much as she wants to deny it and being hired by a client who looks a lot like his dead mom. Gendo's the corrupt police commissioner and Kaworu is that friend on the force who has a thing for Shinji.
