Pastor Daniel I am so grateful for this Prayer. Thank you for including it. I received this gift when I was a young adult at a Spirit filled Church.
I asked for someone to pray with me fir this gift. At first, I thought I may be just fooling myself. But through the years I have seen it's power corporately in all aspects of speaking together and hearing prophecy spoken and interpreted.
When I have come to the end of my rope, have prayed and agreed many times and break through has not come; I get in my car which is now a "war room" and drive somewhere quiet and pour my heart out in tongues.
Usually tears come. Sometimes it's loud and pleading, but lately it's been soft and almost a whisper.
It's been my experience that break through comes. Sometimes immediately, sometimes with a new revelation and with my situation now, it's been a time of waiting.
Sometimes it turns into song.
These are my humble experiences but God I am just so glad for this gift. Thank You God.
I know it is not whether we do or not, as love (charity)is the most important language of all.

God if I speak in unknown tongues in the presence of other believers, I pray that I also can interpret what I have spoken.
Thank You Jesus for sending us the powerful gift of the Holy Spirit to edify and build up the church of Jesus Christ and destroy the devil as one body.

Isaiah 28:9-13 KJVS
[9] Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. [10] For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: [11] For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. [12] To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. [13] But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
1 Corinthians 14:20-21 KJVS
[20] Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men. [21] In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.
I suppose I should take the time to explain the above scriptures. Those who have received the Holy Spirit are entering into God‘s rest. What the problem is, many Spirit filled churches who speak in tongues, are snared by the law of Moses.
Carefully read Ga 4:21-31. And it wouldn’t hurt to read the third chapter.
It is written:
"Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal."
