Love mid-strolling in these colder temps. Here’s something else to try with a spinning rod: Stick your index finger out and let the line barely graze your finger as you reel slowly. This imparts some really unique action and drives the fish crazy. Cheers!
The 6'10 UL/M Poison adrena is another great option. I originally bought it for neds, but was super surprised by it. It doesn't have that stinger tip, but the Ultra light extra fast tip practically feels the same as having a stinger tip. The rod has good power too.
A solid tip rod is really good for this technique, surprised you didn’t list the power nose. I believe US panfish anglers have been doing this for a long time. They call it twitching I think.
That is what it is called, I do it with very small baits, and it will catch everything. I have caught small striper, panfish, trout, and bass all in the same trip!
I used the Megabass X10 Medusa last fall and it did a really good job as well. I was mostly doing hover strolling with it as the water was still warm at the time and fish were shallow. Got taken out of the game mid October by a car accident, but I’m ready to get back out in my kayak to do some mid strolling just as soon as the weather isn’t quite so crazy.
Does the Steez AGS Sencor have the same tip snapping issue? I have an NRX+ 853 and a Megabass x-bites, which i have been comparing. I was thinking of picking up the AGS Sencor to compar with both these rods. I use them for small jigs, and have been doing a version of this technique while dragging on the bottom.
In Austria here, it's the opposite: almost everyone fishes spinning rods and they fish rarely baitcasting rods, exept a few, like me... I fish them both...
First Sterling open face Wheels but I really would like to use a Burberry would like to use a baitcaster don't get me wrong but I still would love to use a open face reel wrong with a Longwood a are we still use a baitcaster anyway anyway you I would cuz I got myself on myself a speed caster

I like wiggling my finger on the line on a dead stick bait to impart very subtle action. I like where your mind is at

Some awesome info in this video!
I'm glad Megabass did the craftsman's pride line. The stinger tip Hedgehog has been so money for strolling.
My go to bfs setup at the moment is a Conquest BFS paired with a GLoomis Bronzeback SMR753C-JB. Fighting 4-5lb largemouths is a blast on it.

I've been using the megabass triza sparna with the solid stinger tip with an aldabarne bfs
Been waiting for this one, thanks Ben👊
Megabass levante whipsnake is another great option.
Split shot night crawler stop the games 5 screens on a boat, your so talented
Good stuff Ben
Because I hate the feel of line pulling off my finger with a spinning setup. I have since I was a kid. Casting setups are dope.
What Raid Anti spinning would be good for the new 5” super fish roller?
Awesome vid. Thank you.
What would be some good budget options for rods?
I'm very surprised you didn't mention the P5 F1st-66XS "Kirisame" as an option.
Which bfs reel do you prefer, Shimano aldebaran or the new Calcutta?
Any tips on rods that are actually in normal consumers price range?
What would you recommend for a BFS rod for this type of technique?

What about Combat Stick 6' 10"M ST?
Have any of the pros express a preference on reel size and speed?
What about DESTROYER F5st-65XS KIRISAME KAMEYAMA SP it is a solid tip rod
What Triza Model would you use for this?
Anything in Orochi or Laverne line that you’d recommend as a cheaper alternative? Nice video.
I'm going to try the Orochii whipsnake this season, its got a very fast tip which should work really well

Hell yeah
😂😂😂😂
Flyssa too light to stroll?
I am curious about the Flyssa too. does it work for Mid strolling?
I’m going to try the flyssa mid strolling on Saturday
No… flyssa is a good option for long casts
@@Fatman_fishing71 hey hows the mid strolling on flyssa? Im thinking about using flyssa as well.
Why not show the expride ffs rods? Are they bad
It's no secret they're not fan of Shimano tapers lol

How about rods we can afford most of us are not pro s and don’t want to spend 450.00 on a rod.
$700!? L giant O giant L
