    been using this knot since I was 13 and trained to process POW, these are not Identical loops, first loops, the center pice is behind fist loop and in front of second loop. I assure you the handcuff knot will hold a prisoner, and they hurt.

    When I worked on a tall ship we would regularly do what you would call the fireman's chair a bosuns chair when in the rigging. Best and easiest way to move among the sheets.

      Do you guys spell it bosun or boswain? When I sailed I was a boswain/bosun and never figured out the origin of the word.

      @@innerbarkoutdoors Both I suppose. We were a training ship, Robertson 2 out of Victoria BC. I suppose the later would be correct but you know how English is for anything goes eh, LOL.
