Thanks for the video. Been looking at a Pioneer 1000-5 for the family. Great to have a video where we could listen to the engine and driveline at speed.
@@dannyboy7122 if you could get some decibel reading while riding would be great. Tried a Yamaha RMAX but was too loud. Hoping the Honda will be quite enough to enjoy without being too loud for the kids. Be great if one can chat with passengers while casual trail riding. Thanks and keep up the content.
I recently purchased a 21 Honda 1000, upgrading from a 21 Honda 700. The 1000 is head and shoulders above the 700. The engine design and extra power, the 6 spd transmission, and extra cab room add up to a really sweet UTV. Interestingly I also have the same Harbor Freight trailer, which we use as our utility and kayak hauler. Nice little trailer but IMHO, a local use only trailer. Getting to you video, I was somewhat surprised the 1000 did so well, but 2 notes of caution. First, I’d never take a trailer on any road without employing safety chains. Lights are important but safety chains are an absolute must. Second, at the end of the day, it’s not really how much a vehicle can pull, it’s how well it can stop. Personally I’d never pull a 2000 lbs load on a trailer without brakes behind a 2000 lb vehicle. Just not safe. Recipe for disaster. ✌🏻
You’re 100% right, the pioneer 700 is so far below the 1000! Thank you for the advice! Not sure why Honda doesn’t have places to hook a chain to, nor electrical hookups!
XTC makes an plug and play trailer harness for the pioneer 1000. It’s around $35. Plugs in line near tailgate. I use it to power a 3rd brake light when on road
Are you interested in shooting product test videos? We offer the pioneer seat cover for free in exchange for a test video. This cushion cover will protect your seat from exposure to the sun or damage.
I didn’t think I could like these a machines anymore then I do but you succeed 😂👍

Oh yeah! I forgot these were street legal in Utah. It's been a while since I've taken one out.
Are they not street legal everywhere? It’s got a street legal kit installed, figured it’s just an OHV
@@dannyboy7122 Yes, with the legal kit installed. However in Utah Arizona and I think Wyoming they are legal without the kit.

I would be willing to make such a video. I have a 2020 1005 ....
