I commend you for sharing your story. Though its your personal story it shines light on how so many have to deal with the symptoms of this illness.
Stay well and keep doing what you enjoy and sharing the gift of music.

Brian God Bless you, your physical strength is built because of your and mental strength to keep going on. When I’m driving I ask my wife to say to turn her side or my side, I to mix up my right and left side. I know this may sound repetitive but you Brian S Redd are my Biggest Inspiration to keep doing what we do. Thank you!!!!

Hi Brian. Power to ya! We have shared comments on your channel before. I am now 6 years post stroke. I have made a good physical recovery but my related Aphasia is something which I still struggle with. Thankfully, apart from the day job, I am still able to do what I did pre-stroke but maybe a bit more considered and a bit slower. But you are right; scheduling what you have to do and allocating the appropriate rest time is vital (regardless of which friend or family member it may upset!). Have a good weekend. Thanks for sharing!! I think there are many of us who dj, have some type of physical and/or mental disabilities. Many with back problems. You have inspired many to keep it going when they were about to give up. May you keep going strong.

I have suffered TWO strokes in this life… due to my lupus and you are absolutely correct. I suffer with mild aphasia as well especially when I’m tired.

How bad was your aphasia after your storks. She had a mild stroke but isn’t using much words. Just looking for something to aid me

Brian you should take on an Assistant to help you with your DJ gigs. You can groom him or her to your style of entertaining and before you know it you can intrust them with some of your gigs and book more than a gig a day. With your presence on youtube you could be doing 150 jobs a year if you have the right people in place and take your DJ Company to the next level.

I've tried it in the past & I'm terrible at managing people. That's why I built the system I can handle myself. Less anxiety on my part just to do it all myself :)

@@briansredd I thank god I have my son, I had helpers in the past and they stuck me on more then one occasion so that’s why my son stepped up to the plate and hit a Grand Slam for me.

I know exactly what you mean about the being tired at events it can really mess you up big time. I did not have a stroke but I got a lot of health problems that if I don't get enough sleep I just can't operate. I have problems with parts of my body freezing up and going numb and it is very hard to control a controller like that I can't imagine loss of a whole side of my body.

Love the video of you doing squats - really inspiring for people like myself who are also recovering from a stroke. Do you regularly do any other exercises to help with your ongoing recovery? Please make a video - you are still a great inspiration for other 'stroke survivors' Thanks Brian!

my mom died from stroke- and I blame trans fats - she lived on frozen pizza from Schwann's truck deliveries, with pepperoni and for breakfast, it was always processed sausage/bacon with the chemicals.....it is no mystery- there should be warning labels on food with nitrites and trans fat hidden into the ingredient list as other terms
