I think there's nothing wrong with docking the tails :) It is AKC Standard, and they look strange with the tail and yes, I guess that's what we have become use to seeing since this breeds inception. These puppies don't remember anything and it's not any different than when we as humans when we have our boy babies, don't remember anything about having their circumcisions done. People are just getting too carried away with oh that's mean crap now a days..... Just a little secret.... You said, "She throws a lot of males".... The male is the one that determines the sex of the babies, and the female is the one that releases how many eggs that will be fertilized by the male......So she is very fertile having 8 puppy litters :) Best of luck with your beautiful litter!!
