- U.S. Women's National Team Forward Alex Morgan discusses her first cap and first goal for the WNT in this edition of ussoccer.com's "100 Firsts." Morgan debuted for the USA in a memorable snow game in Sandy, Utah in early 2010. She scored her first goal for the team later that year during a 1-1 tie with China PR in Philadelphia.

Caroline Vigna i had the same dreams. I’m 13 and i play with the U15 girls team in my hometown. 3 months ago, i dislocated my patella and tore my meniscus. 1 month ago, i tore my LCL.
My doctor refuses to do surgery, and i’ll never be able to play like i did before the injuries.

I can't imagine how terrifying it is for an opponent to have a player with the speed and skill of Alex Morgan come off the bench at the end of the match when all the defenders' legs are already mush! The US can do this with other players too, and that's why they are so dangerous at the end of games!

Even though I am Canadian, ALEX MORGAN is my favorite soccer player I have ever had, she is an amazing player. ALEX MORGAN is the reason I stuck into soccer and now I am 13 and in HPL U16 for my soccer, I want to grow up and be just like ALEX MORGAN, plus I am always number 13 on my jersey. Keep it up Alex! You rock!

and she's done such an incredible job since then, and has accomplished so much. my personal favorite moment of hers is when she scored the game winning goal in the 123rd minute in the summer olympics semi final match against Canada.

Actually, playing in snow isn’t that bad.
I’m from the Faroe Islands, in the middle of the north atlantic ocean, and we play in every weather.
I’ve only played 1 whole game (1 hour and 10 minutes) bc i’m out with a knee injury, and my doc refuses to do surgery. But, my first match was in march. It was raininh, it was snowing little bit, and it was extremely windy. But we maked it through the whole game.

First goal in PPL Park in Philadelphia, Pa. If Alex can remain healthy, she stands to be the top player of all time in women's soccer. However, Syd and C. Press et al coming hard. Press .66 goals/ cap; Syd .52, Alex .63, Abby .76 Alex needs to stay healthy, focus on finishing better. Team needs to trust her. She can see the pitch better than most. Don't know why Tom doesn't allow more long deep feeds. This is Alex's bread and butter. She has terrorized the league with that left leg on breaks.
The game was in Salt Lake City, Utah, not Mexico. Mexico was the team they were playing against.
