Not Sponsored video sharing my user experience shooting the Sony ZV-1F for Vlogging, BTS, and content creation. I've had this camera for about a month now and it has quickly become my most used camera and my go to EDC for content and UA-cam. I share my pros and cons and TONS of test footage in this review vlog. I also show test footage comparing the zv1f vs the iPhone 14 pro. Yes, definitely more Vlogs!! That beach looked amazing! I’m in South Dakota and it’s literally freezing here.🥶 This was a really good review though! I’m not big on iPhones, I have the Samsung s21 Ultra, because I just prefer a droid for my phone, but I buy the IPad for watching UA-cam and etc. I’ve heard so many ppl saying the the iPhones are the best for Vloggers, so I was shocked to see this Sony ZV-1F just completely destroy the Apple competition! IMO, the Sony is a steal at that price point, and the difference in quality is unmistakable! Great job!! Merry Christmas Dom & Family!! 🎄☃️❄️

I have watched a minimum of 20 videos on the ZV1F for my first camera, so I don't shoot on my phone or an action camera, from other reviewers , and this is by far the very best video... not overly complicated, excellent comparisons vs iPhone, great real life examples, etc etc... totally underrated channel! following now! thank you. This has convinced me to give this camera a shot. Keep up the great work!

I honestly have been working so much that I haven’t put much effort into this channel, but my goal for this next year is to really get dedicated into it! Thanks for the motivation. Also, look at BH Photo for your ZV1F… they ALWAYS have them used now for a really good price.

@@rockazulla I think it's perfect for newbs (much better than cellphone quality in my opinion)! I loved using this camera, internal mic was really good too. I did upgrade to the zv1m2 mainly because of some occasional focus issues (but it was rare) I also wanted the built in ND filter. But I still recommend the zv1f for anyone interested in it! I usually used Active Stabilization too but it looked a tad better using Catalyst Browse to smooth the clips.

Dynamic range is very good. A bit more wide lens would be better, but overall very good video quality. Cheers!

Would you be kind and tell me what settings are you using? Is it 4k or hd 60fps? Because it sort of seems smooth and clear at the same time.
wife bought me this camera for christmas and i love it however having a hard time finding accessories especially a mount for my motorcycle
That’s tough Bret. I don’t know that there’s any mounts out there that I would trust on my motorcycle either. I may suggest getting a smallrig metal cage and then having a clamp to the bike that’s threaded down? They have bar mounts for action cams but I don’t know that they’re strong enough to hold the zv. Let me know your findings!

Honestly, I think you’re good with just the iPhone w/ an external wireless mic. That’s how I’ve been doing it. iPhones are soooo good these days. 13 Pro or better is fine. I’m on the 14 Pro too w/ DJI wireless mic. I’ll probably pick up that Comica AirPods looking setup for on the go action.
I do agree with you, I just don’t “enjoy” shooting on my phone. This camera is just so much more convenient and it’s more a joy to shoot.

Yes. I thought the video from the iPhone looked superior.
I mean all you have to do is just add a cheap lav mic, and get a cheap phone handle, and you've got a complete vlog and edit/post set up, all in one.
But if you don't have an iPhone, then the ZV1f is the obvious choice.
However, if you wanted something that also looks great, and is smaller and lighter, then the DJI Pocket 2, is probably the best way.
@@TCXGamer 2 months later. But if you want also a new phone, go for the iPhone, if you are happy with your current phone and want a little nicer video footage, definitely go for the Sony ZV1F
@@TCXGamer upgrade your phone first then buy MacBook Air , airdrop your video for faster workflow, until you have enough money then try to buy camera 📸 fullframe better 😁

I can’t tell you how much that bothered me! Test shot there was nothing, of course right after there’s a dirty lens. I still think about it 😂

damn, i feel like the rolling shutter makes it look cheap. I guess it's fine as long as you don't whip the camera around.

Sadly I e not shot many of those tbh. I think I’ve used the GM1 once and really likes it. I do like that 15mm 1.7, but can’t give you a lot of feedback because I didn’t use it a lot.

I bought it and used it for talking heads for literally 2 hours and it was hunting. If they had put a decent focus mechanism, I would keep it. But come on, the focus is crap. I'll just use my phone
Interesting, did you have good lighting or was it darK? I've had very little hunting especially when only 1 person was in the shot. I'd love to know your settings and setup

Interesting! Definitely more dynamic range on the iPhone, but I like the contrast and lens on the zv better. The real problem is the audio and wind noise. ZV1F makes it so much more convenient

pretty bad to be honest. but wasabi batteries are cheap. I bought like 4

I think the fastest is still via sd card reader

I’m having serious issues with the autofocus it keeps going in and out
I wonder if it's your copy? I don't have those issues unless it's really low light
good for vlogging, not ideal for photography though

nah not convinced.. the focus seems to lost you some time. And the Rolling shutter is bs
I get it. The rolling shutter is a real thing, but the alternatives are going to cost more. So it’s all a trade off

Appreciate it does add considerable time to the workflow in post but the results are really impressive and you don’t have to deal with that rolling shutter when using Active Stabilisation.
I’ve picked up the Neewer wide angle lens and whilst it has some blurring at the edges it’s wide enough to be able to deal with the crop in Catalyst Browse when stabilising.
