27:52 Dr. Cathrine Elisabeth Halsey is the creator of the SPARTAN II project and selected the 6 years old children, who should become Spartans. ONI (Office of Naval Inteligence) then kidnapped these young recruits, flash-cloned them, gave the flash-clones back to the families and trained them since they were 6 to be Supersoldiers. After the kids got after some years training a genetic augmentation upgrade, where many died. Dr. Cathrine Elisabeth Halsey is the chief of this SPARTAN II projekt and Sgt. Mendez was the drill-seregant of the kids. So you can technically call Dr. Halsey mother of the SPARTANs II (inkluding Master Chief John 117, Linda 085, Kelly 087 and Frederic 103) the SPARTANs in Noble Team are mostly SPARTAN III from the Alpha and Beta Kompanie, which were developed from ONI in secret some years later. Dr. Halsey had up until the Novel "Ghosts of Onyx" no Idea that SPARTAN IIIs are made and trained by one of her SPARTAN IIs called Kurt 051, who got once again sort of kidnapped by ONI for this projekt. Dr.Halsey is also th creator of the AI Cortana, who got created out of a cloned brain of Dr.Halsey. That's also why Cortana has the same voice just like Dr. Halsey and also the same look. Cortana also chose John 117 (Master Chief) as her SPARTAN II.... the one she wants to work with
I hate when people say this. Noble 6 and the rest of the Noble Team are real Spartans. Hell, Jorge is a fucking Spartan II like Chief and the rest of Blue Team. Its been said time and time again that Spartan IIIs in Maljnoir armor are just as effective, if not more so, than their Spartan II counterparts. They are Spartans. End of story.
ZedtheUndeadTed The only way they’re effective is in numbers. Noble Six is the only Spartan III on par with a Spartan II. He’s the only Hyper Lethal Vector, besides the Chief. But I agree. The Spartan III’s are arguably better than the four’s in terms of training.
@@zenoohshit5498 False. All Spartan IIIs on noble team are Cat II Spartan IIIs i.e they have the same genetic markers that made the Spartan IIs superior as a whole and are on par with them in terms of pretty much everything. I mean, Jorge doesn't seem to be out doing any of them in any particular avenue besides strength, but then again, Jorge is monstrous even when compared to t he average Spartan II (he's fucking 8 feet tall in his armor).

I've subscribed after seeing you halo legends reaction I dont want to rehash my message from that but your adventures into halo has gained you a new subscriber! Have fun
On the MCC, Reach comes first on the list, as the Halo games are arranged by timeline order, except for ODST, that was a DLC that doesn't have the proper list placement
Fun fact: Some Elite officials had respect for humans. This was because they admired how humanity would proudly fight to everything they had, and inflict sometimes heavy Covenant casualties. Their respect was also that even in their desperation, humans didn't use biological weapons or sacrificed their civilians for victory; fighting with honor. Another fun fact: Spartans were seen by the Covenant as Demons, this because of their insane strength and agility to even sometimes match one of a Elite. Master Chief was known as The Demon for obvious reasons. The reason the Covenant was sometimes scared of Spartans was because many Covenants didn't believe they were even human, as there is almost to no record of a Covenant seeing a Spartan's face.
"Holy shit! This game is so much fun! I was not expecting it to be this much fun!" Now you fully understand the hype for this game. Welcome to the Halo community, my brother. I look forward to more videos of your play-through.
Halsey is the creator of the Spartan-II program. She ordered all the Spartan-II candidates, when they were between 4 to 7 years of age, to be abducted and replaced by flash clones so their disappearance wouldn't be questioned. As far as the Spartan-II's are concerned she is very much a mother figure to them and they hold her in high regard despite the harsh treatment they underwent in the program. Jorge is the only Spartan-II amongst Noble Team. The other five are Spartan-III's which were created in secret beyond her knowledge so she has no attachment to them like she does to Jorge. Cortana was created from a flash clone of Halsey's brain, and Cortana styled herself after a younger image of Halsey. Fun fact: Jorge was born on Reach, so the planet is also his home, making this battle more personal to him.
Jorge is a Spartan II, the same as master chief, the group of the strongest Spartans to exist. The rest of Noble Team are Spartan III's, cheaper and less powerful Spartans that have greater numbers and more disposable than the Spartan II's. While Spartan II's are selected from the most genetically superior children who are then augmented, Spartan III's are selected from orphans who survived the destruction caused by the covenant. They weaponized the hatred of the numerous orphans then augmented them too. Reach is also the last major colony before one would reach Earth. They needed the covenant to not find Reach so that the covenant wouldnt find Earth
watching Dee get into the warthog with Kat gave me mad anxiety XD I've been watching since you reacted to halo and the witcher 3 some of my favorite games and you have helped me through a tough time I lost a family member on the first of December and watching your videos has made me smile so thank you so much!
Jorge is calling Halsey "Ma'am" not "Mom". Though I guess in a way she is most Spartans' mother...a very aloof one at best. He is showing respect. Most Spartans grew up under her care, as they were often kidnapped at a young age (usually no older than 12 or 13) to be brought to an undisclosed location, and given augmentations so they would be the perfect soldier. Of course not all survived the process, those that did became Spartans. This was considered a "lesser evil" by ONI and Halsey, as the alternative was to be destroyed by the Covenant. [edit, spelling derps]
A little correction. Spartan IIs were not intended as an anti Covenant measure. They were intended to fight and overwhelm insurrectionists with superior firepower and survivability. That they ended being used against hostile alien forces was more of a coincidence in the end.
A few tips cause I still remember the time of playing halo for 2 years and still learning lol. Grunts- headshots Elites- Charged plasma pistol (hold the fire down to charge it) and headshot Jackals and Skirmishers- headshots, if holding a shield, hit the hand first. Hunters- Explosives, or get in close and wait for the melee, dodge left and get behind them to shoot, grenade, or hit the back Brutes- WHACK or headshots Bonus Charged Plasma pistols have an EMP effect, they destroy shield and make vehicles shut down for a moment.
people over here asking why he started on reach...because the story canonically starts on reach. We only started on CE because it was literally the first and only halo game out like how they do most games nowadays. Give you some story only to later be given a prequel to that story
Oh no...such a bad take. You need to realize that prequels (most of the time) are not intended to literally be watched/played first just because it has "pre" in the name. You are taking it too literally if you think that's how prequels are designed. Reach was written and directed in a specific way, to be played with the player already having context of the main trilogy. I can give you a list of at least 2 or 3 other UA-camrs who played Halo for the first time, who followed the advice to NOT play in chronological order, and by the time they finish Halo Reach, they end up saying "I'm glad I didn't start with Reach like some people suggested." It just doesnt hit as hard emotionally. And that's what Bungie was going for.
If you're playing on MCC and you're accustomed to playing COD change controls to Universal Zoom and Shoot and it has the same button layout and will follow all other Halo games.
PS: Needler is the best gun in the game. 5 shots on target will immediately kill any unshielded target no matter what. Other great weapons are the magnum (pistol as it has a scope but bad ammo count), battle riffle, and the needle riffle. If you ever struggle with the elites though, pick up the crappy plasma pistols the grunts drop, they have a charge feature which instantly takes out elite's shields making them easier to kill (it also has the feature of being able to shut down vehicles). Double that with a needler and you can take out their shields followed by quickly putting them down. You can also do the same with a walking up to them, hit them with a charged shot then melee them. Just note that enemy weapons always come with low ammo in reserve. Walking over enemy weapons of the same type will resupply them except plasma weapons which have a set ammo count. Human weapons such as those you had on the first 2 levels require you looking for ammo stations like those on the wall in the comm station. They are literally racks of guns so kinda hard to miss, but you walked right passed one. One was right inside the doorway after entering the hall chasing the hostages (11:30). There was another in the hallway right before the room you died in by an elite with an energy sword. It was in the corner. Just gotta watch out for them to optimize your run of the story. Why Halo is popular for speedrunning other than being a Doom like series. Also remember that you are a spartan. Your melee attacks are incredibly effective at killing enemies that are alone. It will instantly take out a shielded elite's shield (melees from behind will instantly kill them even with shields) and melees instantly kill all enemies except the hunter and the brutes. If you are using a controller, melee is the right bumper. Meleeing is far more important in Halo than other shooters. If you take out a large portion of an enemies health aproaching them, follow it up with a melee to take them down quick. Not quite as viable though in harder difficulties unless against only 1 enemy. PS: I hope you know, the devs have confirmed that Heroic is the intended difficulty of the game to match that of the difficulty described by NPCs in the story and to show how unlikely soldiers were to beat the covenant on Reach. Also, you should know that the elites have shields just like you, when you walk away to let them recover, you are also letting their's recover. You have to be aggressive to win against them. Lastly, your rocket launcher was out of ammo. You can't pick up a weapon without ammo in reserve. It just a stream lining feature so you don't accidentally pick up weapons without ammo.
@@maximumwolfe9462 eh, I just think of both the DMR and BR as the BR. Except in the games with both of them. They play about the same even if one is single action while the other is a 3 round burst.

Halsey mother of the SPARTANs II (inkluding Master Chief John 117, Linda 085, Kelly 087 and Frederic 103)
the SPARTANs in Noble Team are mostly SPARTAN III from the Alpha and Beta Kompanie, which were developed from ONI in secret some years later.
Cortana also chose John 117 (Master Chief) as her SPARTAN II.... the one she wants to work with
He needs to React to “Halo: The Fall of Reach “ on Netflix now. That would teach them what are the real Spartan are.
Nicolas Cardillo The book is better!!!
@@leteusaurantiaco8972 True, but it'd hardly be good reaction content watching him sit down and read it for hours.

Dee: "That's what you get!"
Elites watching: *WORT WORT WORT, AAAAWUBADUGH*
27:52 he says Ma'am but with his accent it sounds like mum
Casual no he does say mum
Jason Lee the subtitles literally say ma’am
The fact that subtitles are frequently different than the actual spoken lines make me always doubt their accuracy
Take it as you want, she basically is the only “mother” figure he has known since we was 6
he does say mom because right after that she asks what he did with her armor i doubt she would have given her spartan armor to him if he wasn't her son
Me watching Dee watching the trailers and Legends: Wow, if this guy was any better he'd be a spartan.
Dee: Am spartan now.

I legitimately love how pumped he is about this game :)
So glad you're playing Halo my guy, been an Xbox fan since I was a kid. Also the fact you're starting timeline wise with reach makes it perfect
On the MCC, Reach comes first on the list, as the Halo games are arranged by timeline order, except for ODST, that was a DLC that doesn't have the proper list placement
@@maximumwolfe9462 ik mcc has reach first lol
The arbiter said that the word Demon was an insult, but one based on respect. They acknowledged that Spartans where equal if not superior to them.
OMG I've been waiting this for so long! Thank you!!
"Holy shit! This game is so much fun! I was not expecting it to be this much fun!"
Now you fully understand the hype for this game.

It make me so happy to see you so excited to experience Halo. Halo holds a very special place in my heart. I really hope you enjoy the Halo journey.

I've been watching since you reacted to halo and the witcher 3 some of my favorite games and you have helped me through a tough time I lost a family member on the first of December and watching your videos has made me smile so thank you so much!
Grunts- headshots
Elites- Charged plasma pistol (hold the fire down to charge it) and headshot
Jackals and Skirmishers- headshots, if holding a shield, hit the hand first.
Hunters- Explosives, or get in close and wait for the melee, dodge left and get behind them to shoot, grenade, or hit the back
Brutes- WHACK or headshots
Bonus
Charged Plasma pistols have an EMP effect, they destroy shield and make vehicles shut down for a moment.
I can't help but laugh at all the little mistakes and, freaks out from seeing stuff for the, first time lol. Loved to vid
people over here asking why he started on reach...because the story canonically starts on reach.
I can give you a list of at least 2 or 3 other UA-camrs who played Halo for the first time, who followed the advice to NOT play in chronological order, and by the time they finish Halo Reach, they end up saying "I'm glad I didn't start with Reach like some people suggested."
It just doesnt hit as hard emotionally. And that's what Bungie was going for.
If you're playing on MCC and you're accustomed to playing COD change controls to Universal Zoom and Shoot and it has the same button layout and will follow all other Halo games.
Plasma pistols can stun vehicles and removes shields. A headshot with any semi auto weapon on an elite with no shield will kill it.
Death by mass EMP'd Warthog. Been there. Not cool Covenant.
4:00 wow. the last level is called "Lone Wolf, actually made me tear up, never noticed this..
Might want to add another quotation marks to the end of level name, like this "Lone Wolf"
Xbox players: sneak up on elite and assassinate him
PS4 scrub: tries and fails to shoot his head
Halo reach is honestly one of the best halo games to start on since it has a mostly separate story than the other games. So good on ya mate!
The BR isn't present in Reach and Halo CE. The DMR is Reach's BR and the Magnum pistol is CE'S BR
@@maximumwolfe9462 eh, I just think of both the DMR and BR as the BR. Except in the games with both of them. They play about the same even if one is single action while the other is a 3 round burst.

Halo: Reach is my all time favorite Halo game, story centered around sacrifice and the chronologically earliest of the fps games. Its awesome story with lovable characters (especially Emile, lets be honest, he's a fucking badass) and its tear-jerking character send-offs and ending, this game is legendary.
Halo Wars 1 is the earliest game chronologically
I am feeling some good nostalgia even though I played reach like a couple days ago
