So, i am assuming 1. IPRS -Rs. 1200(PRO) 2. Tunecore plan-Rs. 999(Distributor) 3. Sontrust -Rs. 7400 or $90 with your referral code(Publisher) 4. Soundexchange- free(Radio plays) *Total = around Rs 9600 and additional yearly distribution charges for lifetime music releasing covering all 7 types of royalties. I mean this is the only video in india that can guide an indie artist with facts. Respect sir, very much appreciate ur work.... Bhai ko full support❤!
Thank you for the kind words❤️. Yes, you are correct. To be honest, things have been updated a little, and these 7 are actually 6 types of royalties, and all of the 4 mentioned by you covers everything you need to claim given that you are registering every song in every society after release.
Hello sir! First of all, thanks a ton for all the free knowledge you have been providing us with. I got a question in the part where you mentioned that the mechanical royalties will be paid by the digital music provider under the flowchart. From what I understood, mechanical royalties are for hard copies. How does the digital streaming platform pay for that?
Every time a song is streamed, it is considered that a part of it sold and some percentage are taken aside for mechanical royalties, also when your song is sold on platforms like Apple music, then also you earn mechanical royalties for that.
Sir kya songtrust Mechanical Royalties aur neighboring Rights Royalties dono deta hai kyu ke songtrust hi saari countries ke pro me hamara music publish karta hai
@@SirGamma one more question. If we own a youtube channel and if we are a publisher and registered in iprs , ok if we release any cover song already in market then iprs will collect royalty from that publisher or that perticular youtube channel owner.
Printed music and lyrics:tunecore publishing says u can earn through this.does this mean when someone just posts your song lyrics in UA-cam (with no music sound just lyrics)
@@SirGamma Thanks alot for your reply.I really appreciate what you are doing for us indie artists.....theres actually someone whose using my own audio.he removed the beats of the song but the vocal is mine.can UA-cam claim the audio for me through tuncore/songtrust publishing?
@@SirGammaur a blessing to us indie artist....i hope uve understood what i meant.l mean to say that a youtuber is posting my songs on UA-cam but after removing my own beats but the vocal is still mine.so can I still be able to claim my audio regardless him removing my own beats

There's one more thing you'll have to do, register yourself as a publisher in IPRS - ₹2200 for a lifetime. Then you'll be covered overall.

@@UnpluggedRahul As a UA-cam channel artist, you do not have to pay any fees to rights management companies. UA-cam takes care of that itself.

UA-cam's algorithm doesn't work that way, at least not yet. It only copyrights the videos and audios through their CMS or fingerprinting algorithm.
