EXACTLY!! If anyone thinks otherwise. They never watched both of them play. Against others & each other.
@@zuzvang That doesn't make sense. He wasn't alive for Wilt either. Yet he included Wilt.
I was born in april 1996 so hearing Kobe say "I can't believe how fast twenty years went by this is crazy" in april 2016 really hit home.
I feel sad for you. You missed the 80's Lakers and Showtime.
Respect for Kobe. when times got tough, he didnt run to another team to get titles. He never gave up. 20 years as a laker. What a true dedicated person. RIP Kobe. The Legend/
As a Laker fan who never flinched in those down years, I know exactly what Kobe was talking about. That journey with Kobe from teenager to Mamba Out was epic.
Ive been a life long Kobe fan. I travelled all the way from japan to see him play and the second i walked through the hall in the middle floor of the arena and saw Kobe warming up, it was so utterly surreal to me. I watched him so many times on tv. Went through the ups and downs. I was destroyed when he tore his Achilles, absolutely devastated when he passed. He’s the greatest in my eyes. What an iconic player to say the least.
Well said my friend
Kobe gets a lot of credit for being one of the greats but somehow..........It doesn't seem like he get's enough praise! He played against Jordan and the greats of today.
It's not that serious Kobe just a great NBA player. Look up to our doctors, teachers, astronaut's and ECT... Especially love yourself, your a legend and capable of being whatever you want in life.

He's the GOAT. No doubt in my heart.

I'm so fortunate to have seen most of these players at their prime. I saw kobes last game which was epic. My dad played with Kareem at UCLA. Seeing these games in person are beyond epic. I will never take seeing any game in person for granted.
Man, you got me teary eyed, AGAIN! Thank you Kobe! I remember that great Kobe to Shaq alleyoop! I bribed my ROTC instructor to give me that one day just so I could watch it with the other soldiers there!
R.I.P. Kobe and Gianna!
This reflects the era you're most familiar with. There've been so many great moments and three I think would make a lot of people's lists would be the 'Now, there's a steal by Bird' moment in 1987, Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Celtics and Pistons. Bird's steal helped the Celtics to win the game. Another moment was in 1995, in Game 1 of the Pacers and Knicks playoff series, when Reggie Miller scored eight points in nine seconds to win the game. Another was Shawn Kemp's revenge dunk on Alton Lister in the 1992 Finals between the Sonics and Warriors.
Wilts 100 points without a single 3point shot is insanely impressive.
And he did that while being jerry west in the fts
He did it in a league full of old white dudes that were only good cause they played against other old white guys the league started getting competitive the more black players started playing he would never get that against 80s 90s 00s players

"mamba out" made me drop a tear man. Rip the 🐐.
The fact that kobes last game overshadowed the warriors shattering season record over the 72-10 bulls tells you how iconic kobes last game was, the fact that fans around the globe came to pay kobe one last hoorah to an amazing career as well as alot of people standing outside the staples center/Nokia theater on his last game and bringing grown men into tears. I remember seeing reaction videos on UA-cam including myself of people crying when he was going on his personal 17-0 run to get the Lakers that W n the 4th it gave us glimpse of his days when he was in his prime one last time.
That 17-0 run had people in the bar jumping and hugging like we did when Kobe delivered those five chips. We all knew how banged up his body was. It hurt seeing him so human that last year. For him to will himself to one more magical night for Mamba Out....man just tears typing this. I only hope I can deliver for my loved ones til the end like Kobe did.
Damn, you really made me cry at the end and then put Shaq's big face smiling all of a sudden
I agree, the Ray Allen 3-pointer still is the most clutch shot, but also the most beautiful shot, in NBA history
Jesus Christ loves you and everyone
Yep and who benefited from that the most?🤔🤔🤔🤔 LEBRON
Agreed
Ray Ray's jumper is straight out beautiful and I thought that I wuld never see a betta clutch shot than Reggie Miller's shot against the NYKs but when I first saw Ray Ray's shot in game 6 of the finals I was like DAMN the Miami Heat is definitely gonna win the championship after that shot and win can't say nomo but Ray fo the win STRAIGHT UP CLUTCH
Reggie was clutch too
Man you killed it with the Kobe Bryant speech at the end. This video is goated for Life. 🔥🔥🔥🔥😤😤😤😤😤
Instant nostalgia
Made me cry at the end. Nothing can be more iconic than the Black Mamba Kobe.
What a fitting end to a nice video! Took me back through memory lane. I miss the Mamba 24 as we all do!!
many greater moments than a lot mentioned here - You had nothing from the 60 , 70, and 80s, besides Wilt's 100. Many great moments missed - Willis reed walks out to the court for the Knicks for instance belongs here - Not a single Skyhook, no Bird, no Magic, no Russel, no Detroit, Reggie Miller's scoring outburst that changed to rules... you have maybe 2 or 3 of the greatest in this 10
(In your opinion)
bros mad 😂😂
Greatest moments for him only😄
Yeah, this is a terrible list. I get it - make us engage, but this list isn't even close to a good top 10 NBA moments.
Agree
Man, that Kobe Bryant speech always hits me. RIP Kobe!
Yoh you got me going thru rabbit holes the way I'm binging your videos one after another! Your marketing strategy is flawless😆
Love your work!
Rest In Peace Kobe. A true legend
Amazing video, that first spot got me bro, mamba out, what an icon KOBE was those who witnessed his prime know how fortunate we were RIP legend
For older school historians:
1) The 1969 NBA Finals should belong on this list. The underdog Celtics defy the odds to beat the first "Super Team" in nba history. Only time a Finals MVP played on the losing team.
2) game 5 of the 1976 NBA Finals.....the greatest single game in NBA history.
👍
For Dr.J's windmill dunk not to be on this list is disrespectful...not to mention Jordan's fist pumps against Cleveland,Shaq recking backboards, "Bird stole the Ball" play, Magic in the all-star game, MJ free throw line dunk...I could go on
@@knotshor4603 Agreed. This video was a joke.
Love your videos bro. Keep up the great work, always looking forward to the next ones.
The fact A.I was in there twice🔥
Am never aware of the like button but Kobe’s speech made me push the button on this vid ❤️. “Mamba out” 💔😭
Shaq in the back laughing and enjoying while Kobe did his farewell fills my heart
This was moments from 1996 til now. Forgot about Bird calling his game winner and he even called falling into the trainer's lap. No Reggie Miller 8 points in 8.9 seconds, or T-mac 13 points in 30 seconds. Pippen's dunk on Ewing, Jordan's dunk on Mutumbo, I could go on with so many more historical moments. The only thing before 96 was Wilt's 100 point game everyone knows about. Kobe's 81 was a top 5 moment easily as well.

The game where bird only played with his left hand 🤯🤯🤯
Yeah this list not iconic
Agreed. Complete joke.
What about Robert Horry buzzer beater on the spurs?
Kobe Bryant, heroes are remembered but legends never die and you will live on in infamy. Still get choked up when I watch that speech.

Man as a life long Lakers fan it wasa really nice to see Kobe's last game and speech as the number one moment. Kobe was really a hero to me! His work ethic and shear well to win was amazing and second to none!
I love your channel bro, you put energy and emotion in your videos.
KOBE BRYYYYYYANT - Thankful I was growing up during the Kobe years. While Jordan and Lebron are debated as the greatest of all time, Kobe will always be my personal fav.
Kobe bryant was successful in filling the void when jordan retired in nba...kobe was my fave guy to watch after mj retired
Kobe is better than Lebron
@@javedoutar61 I actually very much agree, but the masses seem to think differently. I appreciate your boldness.
@@aerocellhiring7776 Real basketball fans know that Kobe Bryant is better than James. James used to acknowledge it too. Lebron in 2010 was still saying that Kobe was the greatest player in the league.
MJ was better than both though. MJ had 24 games at the end of one season as a point guard. That's doing the distributing like Lebron did in his Career. In those 24 games, MJ got 15 triple doubles, averaged 32 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds per game.
Kobe is the GOAT. Take this vote global.
I loved this video! The fact that Kobe’s last game and speech was #1 is truly the best because of how much Kobe was loved all over the world! Some might say he was more loved than MJ and I can see why, he had that aura around him that everywhere he went, across the world and at the Olympics, people wanted to see him. Man that speech at the end still gives it to me 😢 #24
I agree with the #1 spot. That game and that moment were the most Iconic till now. Miss Kobe.
Kobe's speech was so emotional I cried.
Kobe's Mamba out speech was the perfect ending to one of my favorite performances of any athlete. He turned back the clock and gave us one last magical moment where we felt on top of the world believing anything is possible.
Congrats on 2 MILLION REBOUND you worked so hard for this
I love all of these. Man MJ, Lebron, Shaq, Wilt, Kobe, just crazy and inspirations to us all to be better.
for me most iconic is that picture from jordan where he jumps very high in the air, celebrating and another guy just gets thrown to the ground (but jordan does not touch him). its just so intense. edit: this one i mean: Michael Jordan's iconic buzzer-beater eliminates Cavs in 1989 NBA playoffs
Yep, The Shot
Amazing Moments!! Love Iverson, Shaq, Curry, Ray, Bron Bron and of course MJ. The game wouldn’t be the same without any of them.
But seeing Kobe just brings tears to my eyes y’all! Miss him Dearly!!
“Mamba Out!”
One iconic moment that should be included is Kawhi Leonard’s buzzer-beater in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals (Raptors vs 76ers on May 12, 2019). It was the 1st time the Raptors made it to the Finals and they eventally ended up winning it all!
Thats what i was wondering too
This moment beat many of the other “memorable” ones in this video …

Conveniently leaving the Celtics moments out. Havlicek’s steal, Birds steal.

That MJ clutch while falling sideways followed by the celebration . Absolutely !
It was a similar turning point moment for MJ as Kobe's alley oop to Shaq. On to a three peat and pure dominance.

I miss 2 Moments. When Bird stole the Ball from Isaiah and when Magic made his Hook Shot.
That was a classic
Rebound. Thank you for the video. You did a great job narrating and editing this piece together. There are several legit entries on your list. And then there are some that I don't understand. So I have a couple of suggestions and constructive criticisms that, I hope, can help you keep on improving. First, finding the audio of Wilt's 100-point game was fantastic. But you know what? Who was the announcer? As an NBA fan, I would like to know who the announcer was. Most likely, it's legendary Philadelphia broadcaster, Bill Campbell (RIP, Bill). He broadcast for the W's from 1946 until 1962, when the franchise moved to SF. He also called games for the Eagles, Phillies and Sixers. The dude is a legend. This is important info. Next, may I suggest that Magic Johnson's "Baby Hook" over Kevin McHale is more iconic than Ray Allen's shot? There's really no reason for Iverson to get 2 entries. A more iconic shot that you could switch for either of Iverson's might be Jordan's right-to-left switch against my Lakers in 91. Just some ideas to spice it up a bit. I woulda taken the Fisher Swisher over the D-Wade-LBJ dunk. You're a little too fixated on the LeBron-Golden State thing.
This is known as a backhanded compliment...you should do a video with "your" most iconic NBA moments. I'm just grateful this was produced and edited to begin with. Scroll down it's only you 🤦♂️
@@cdf8821 A backhanded compliment? In film school, they always teach you to lead with what was good, then come up with ideas to improve upon. No film, tv show or UA-cam video is ever perfect. Ever. If you actually read what I wrote, I clarified right from the beginning that what I was doing was offering suggestions and constructive criticisms. In doing so, I offered specific instances that I feel are more iconic, or at least less redundant. If you feel that these moments are indeed THE most iconic, please tell me why. I am open-minded. I would like to hear your opinion. Personally, as an NBA fan, I also like more context and detail around the moments. Such as knowing who the play-by-play announcers are. The color commentators help to establish iconic moments and deserve credit, do they not? Look, I am also glad this video was produced. But it could be better.
This list was obviously created by a younger NBA fan with limited knowledge of the game before 2000. Any "iconic list" without the phrase, "Havlicek stole the ball!" is incomplete.
@@christopherbanuelos8208 I understand your point " The most iconic" is subjective. There may be other factors you are not aware of that make something "iconic" to one and not the other. But this isn't film school and it wasn't created to be "perfect" it was created to be entertainment. Now knowing you attended "film school", you definitely should produce a youtube video which covers what you would like like to see produced and the color commentators for each event. Giving a compliment followed directly by criticism is a backhanded compliment.
@@cdf8821 Oh. You must be Rebound. Either way, the Jordan mid-air crossover, merely by the fact that it's Jordan, makes it one of, if not THE, most iconic NBA Finals shot of all-time. Also, the Magic hook over McHale is, without a doubt, the second most iconic Finals shot of all time. I mean, subjective or not. Yet neither is included in this video. Watch the Finals this year and you'll see what I mean. I guarantee you'll see those 2 moments again and again.
What's the deal with your backhanded compliment thing? Does constructive criticism bother you? No one said the video was bad. A backhanded compliment would be me ultimately saying the video is bad. I am saying the video is good, but there is always room for improvement. Here are some suggestions to make your amazing video get to the next level. But I'm sure Rebound appreciates your ardent defense of their work.
I have been blessed by Kobe, my birthday is April 13, his last game 😢. R.I.P LEGEND, never will be forgotten
0:16 I love the way you can see the literal camera flash of the iconic photo.
Come on!!! I expected greatness. These are good but there are so many more iconic moments. Dr J's around the backboard scoop; MJ's switching hands in midair. Any one of Kareem's sky hooks. Jerry West's half court shot; MU holding his first trophy and crying; Reggie Miller scoring 8 points in 9 seconds. The ones you have chosen are good but there are far from the best.
Jordan over Ehlo.
It’s been 2 months where are you?????
goosebumps bro
Kawhi’s 4-bounce series winner over Embiid: Am I a joke to you?
And don't forget Dame's game winner on OKC with the cruel "bye bye". He dismantled that squad after that shot. Crazy thing is it was the same week as Kawahi's shot
love Kobe but MJ's winning goal in the last 3 seconds (not mentioned on this list) still remains the most iconic moment
