You would think reviewing aftermarket headlights you would show how they perform in the dark. I mean that's the most important part about headlights and review videos lol. Every headlight video you guys never show what they look like in the dark. Then you can show the comparison from old and new. For $500 I would like to see how they perform.
Can confirm these headlights look super cool, but are absolute junk for output. Information on the site says they come with H1 and H3 bulbs, but are actually both H7 for high and low.
As an ocd auto detailer. I suggest 2 things. 1 wash the truck before working on it. 2 cover any surfaces that may come in contact with each other with painters tape. Very cheap protection from scratches.
I just installed these and wanted to change the "yellowish" bulbs. Upon inspection, I found that both bulbs were H7 and NOT H1 and H3 bulbs. And the H7 is what is recommended for this fixture.
For 500 bucks I'd want the turn signal led also. I get that converting halogen to led can cause problems but for the cost of it, I would want it done also.
Thomas Stees do you know what kind of problems I just bought these and may try upgrading to led bulbs but was informed they won’t work ....or maybe they just don’t recommend using led
@@darrinwalke3846 I don't own these so cant say for certain. When I upgraded my current truck the turn signals/relay controling them had to be adjusted. LED's are much more efficient and so it makes the frequency of blinking much faster. Almost faster than the burnt out flash. It is resolvable and a new relay fixed it for me.
@@darrinwalke3846 I've heard that LEDs don't work great in projector style headlight fixtures...HIDs work better...again,this is just what I've heard and read on the web...LEDs would be better suited for reflector housings.

Yay! Yet another headlight upgrade video with no output shots. Well done.

Agreed I got some axial black DRL and man do they suck during the night I had to return them the following week! Due to bad visibility

@@craigradnich6578did u put leds in them?
It blows my mind that these manufacturers create really cool looking headlights and ship them with shitty halogen bulbs.
"Now would be a really good time to test the headlights"
*Continues installation*

Thank you! And don't wear clothes with zippers, buttons or snaps! Mesh shorts and t-shirt all day. Lol
Hows output on the road? Can you add shot of output onto the road or close to a wall?
I already bought the headlights ... but how do I put led bulbs
Those look really good with the blue. 👍👍👍
Really cool headlight upgrades from the halogen! Like the way you did the whole process on video and the side by side!
How do you change the bulb when it goes out?

So its confirmed these are H7? A raxion rep tried to tell me they were h1 and h3

Do you have a video on how to adjust these lights?
I'll be glad when some of these aftermarket headlight housings drastically come down in price.
What kind of upper grille is that and where can I find it?
What is the version for 2019-21 models?
Plugged them up and the low and high beam won’t come on.
Same here what you did to fix it ??
@@notialgo bulbs were installed wrong just reversed them.
Anyone have issues getting the wiring harnesses to fit?
Hey I know this is old but yes just did mine and it was the same. Connector was to shallow to lock into place for the main connector
Nice ⚪️⚫️
I got them on ebay for 320 the same why pay 500 for the same shit 🤦🏻♂️
Link????
This video sucked. It didn’t show how to do anything. All we did was watch him put in a headlight great job.
