No. You don't need the wheel for any racing game. It's an optional choice. If they started making the racing wheel mandatory, there'd be a lot pissed off people. Although the racing wheel is fun, it requires a lot more skill. So, more power to you if your racing wheel skills are on par with the controller.

Dirt 3 is easily the best racer I have ever played and I pray, I pray that there is a dirt 4 for next gen consoles :D dirt 3 was at times so beautiful that an untrained eye wouldn't know it's a game. Even driveclub has a tough job competing.
All assists off, difficulty of 4 to start with, more rally stages, Group B and synchroniced Gymkhana drifting? Buying it right now and I demand you all to do the same =D
@Filleisdaman I reckon dirt is better. More challenging AI, Varied surfaces of track, More adjustable difficulty. But if u just want to race on road get NFS but I'd recommend DiRT to u.
love how that near the end of the review it talks about the noise of the engines and how much POWER you have at your diposal, then it cuts to a mini cooper! haha
@TheLegacyofgaming Unless the graphics are broken because its a multi-platform release, which can happen. This is why my 3 year old computer still runs the latest games great. The developers dont want to make them look too good on PC because its such a small market when compared to the consoles.
Now Dirt's will be something like Fifa.They should make Dirt when they add lot of new things, etc. not like now - longer career, new mp modes and upgraded graphics.They should add alot of new features, then relase new Dirt.

if you have amazon prime, this is game up for sale for $15.59.. which isn't bad. i'm not advertising, just saying.. thats a good price considering their listed price is $60 lol. not a bad price for the game if ur looking for the best bang for ur buck

@ravenhousegaming What version of Forza 4 did you play? Forza 4 is a good game. The only styles of racing that I can think of that it doesn't have is F1 and Rally racing. The customization is the best available today. Ken Block's Fiesta in Dirt 3 looks cool and you can make the design in Forza 4. When it comes to console racing simulators and automotive playgrounds, there is little competition with Forza 4.

Get Dirt 2 and Dirt 3 as together you get all aspects of Rally.
