Yup I think they have lost their zest for the job. Defense mumbles and speaks like he's half asleep most of the time. I'm used to watching lawyers that are energetic and I can barely watch this.
@@lisainthelab Dallas seemed to not know that Matthew Wassenberg from the bar was roomates with the man on trial. A lot of things are odd about this trial.
I don't think she cares for Doug or for the fact that if they hadn't had a fight over issues that were ongoing about Doug'sbehavior, she would've been home. Also, prosecution ended her questioning pretty fast bc she wasn't giving a glowing representation of Doug - even though he didn't end her: he wasn't an amazing man or great husband/dad material. (As Doug himself stated when he said, "Mom, I'm not cut out for this. I'm going to kick out her & the kids. "
Although Doug didn’t kill her this trial reveals he was not particularly committed to Nicole and his own child. He seems to be more interested in a party lifestyle as opposed to settling down as a husband and father. To be fair many young men behave this way. I imagine this situation may have caused him to rethink his life. I sense several women (including this female detective) probably resent Doug.
This is the norm in Wisconsin. I don't know all the reasons but have heard it mentioned that witnesses tend to be less intimidated when an attorney isn't pacing in their face & firing off questions. Additionally, it makes it significantly easier to hear the attorneys when they are seated & speaking directly into microphones. I agree it looks odd but it's not a wrong or right.
It's only disrespectful if they are going against the judge, but if it's what the judge wants then they are being respectful. I hear it's just the way it is in that area. I much prefer energetic lawyers that pace around though.

I wonder what the grounds for arresting Doug were. I realize that a person’s partner is the primary suspect but that isn’t grounds to arrest that person.
They found blood in the car and I believe his house. Just happened to be that the blood in the car was their child's blood and the other blood was from a turkey after he went hunting. Once they got the results back, they decided to release him.
Except she exaggerated and made things up during the initial portion of the investigation, leading police to go down the wrong path & wasting precious time. 😑
Sorry but Dallas rubs me the wrong way.
Totally. She keeps trying to inject extra info insinuating things, like she has some agenda.
She rubbed me wrong too
Same
These attorneys are so dry and boring!

Dallas seems to be trying to help the defense, but was called by the prosecution. I'm confused.
Not as confused as she is on a daily basis 😑

What a creep!! I can’t imagine what Nicole was thinking when he was the last thing she saw before her death. RIP❤
Why are the attorney's not standing when they speak? I find that disrespectful! jmo :(
legendary1237 I agree

It IS standard practice in Wisconsin to remain seated while asking witness questions.
sometimes u can't tell which one is speaking, i don't like it either.

I hope they sued the crap out of the police that arrested Doug and was trying to make it look like He did this!!!
If I could read the lawyers lips , I might be able to hear what they are saying...Its not the volume its the gravelly sound...geeezzzz...........
This is ppl speaking in court it's not for a movie.. I think if we were there in the courtroom we could hear much better.

the only lawyer I can understand what he is saying is the defense..................geeezzzz
mine was on 480 maybe try 720 quality
He's the only one I can't understand because he likes to mumble and talk like he's bored.
Tell dallas ( drama queen) its not about her
What the heck does Dallas have in her weird hair?
Beads
Dirt
They're Dredlocks worn with Rastafarian" livity" or lifestyle.
She handled this well I think, Dallas seems like a cool and genuine girl.

He🤣 found a WOMANS bra
Dallas, what an awful witness 😮
WHATS HER FREAKING SWEATER HAVE TO DO WITH IT
Because they thought it was Nikki’s sweater with blood and they thought Doug did it and that she had been in the house with him.
