I thought it was very interesting that UA-cam spam bots had "evolved" features in their videos to fight copyright bots. It makes it seem like the internet is like the Serengeti, but with algorithms fighting for survival instead of lions and antelopes.
I remember sometime in 2014-15, I was looking for On the Floor by jlo on YT on my phone, but I couldn’t find it. The only thing I found were those weird lyric videos with either very low quality sound or no sound at all. Understandably the comments were all frustrated people complaining about them. I figured back then that major labels didn’t want their songs to be on phones for free, so I didn’t think they were weird
so, i stumbled across a rabbit hole the other day and thought of this video: this weirdly titled song from a topic channel shows up in my recommended. it's titled "Feel Voyage Hotel Th Heart" and is (allegedly) by "rosemary sheppard", though i doubt this is a real artist. there's also another one titled "Rocky Road Company The Rabid Earth Tribe Growl Aabbcczzzzz" by another probably-fake artist called "Elderberry Fruit", but it's the first one i dug slightly deeper into. looking closer at the thumbnail, it appears to be not just a car, but ai-generated artwork of a car. the music itself is just some fairly basic piano piece, i mean i don't know a lot about piano but it's very much like, background noise-tier. the artist's channel, oddly, has several playlists with about a hundred videos each. i can only assume all of them are similar in nature, and my best guess is that this is some kind of bot. of course there ARE actual ai artists, but idk man everything about this one just screams automated to me. youtube's full of weird little oddities like this, really.
It was funny to hear "Germany has notoriously tight copyright laws" knowing as a guitarist of a German guitar company called Harley Benton who literally just make guitars that are outsourced to Indonesia and are all shapes ripped off from other companies
I mean, Harley Benton is out here doing good work imo. All the older, super popular guitar shapes are public domain at this point, so you can't really "rip them off". Besides, it would be ridiculous to expect every single guitar company to come up with their own completely unique shapes. Especially the strat, tele, and LP shapes are just slight modifications to the shape of a classical guitar, meaning you retain the comfort of the origin shape. On the point of outsourcing, idk what point you're trying to make with that in relation to copyright. HB has its flaws, but when you break it down, they are offering really high quality, entry level instruments for a fraction of the price of their competitors, to the point where their profit margin is nearly non-existent. I got my ex a 120€ HB strat a couple years ago and it was seriously as good as my Squier Classic Vibe that cost nearly 4x as much. Brands like HB are partially the reason why we are in a sort of Golden Age for entry level guitar gear; in comparison with gear from 10+ years ago, the stuff you get at the entry level is seriously good stuff. 200 bucks for a guitar, 200 for an amp, and you have yourself a solid setup. Try out a $200 amp from 2010, they are shockingly bad, to the point of being essentially unusable.
Disclaimer: I known nothing about guitars. I really only know artists and companies from outside Germany often have issues with German laws for some reason. As is usual, those inside the country often have an easier time.
Dude, good vid, but can you up your upload volume? Got the laptop and YT at full volume and can barely hear it. Your channels the only one! Good work, keep it up, just LOUDER!
i'd honestly like to see an album of music kind of making fun of/sampling and corrupting the generic music you find from these fake artists. like james ferraro's farside virtual but for the 2010s
10:10 very interestingly, that is not a German website. That is actually an Austrian website. They might have used an Austrian one because its the same language but at the same time it won't be affected by the GEMA ban. I'm not sure, but nonetheless, very interesting
Pseudiom, congratulations on your sponsor. You are making it big. Regarding the subject, I was completely unaware of this. I still prefer the original Numbers Stations, who doesn't love the sweet yodeling of Franz Lang? But as someone reading about cryptogtaphy, the idea of secreto communications through such mundane yet secret medium is fascinating. You are one of the few thing of this horrible and cowardly world I like.
Yeah, that actual number stations are a better mystery because they (probably) have an actual purpose. This video is more something that happened because of serendipity. I don't think these videos have any greater purpose then click farming. Unless...

When I was a kid, I enjoyed looking for the secret snail in each episode of Blue's Clues (Adventure Time also did this if I recall correctly, but it was much harder to find). I've been putting the poorly drawn Beeruses in ever video since the "Gohan Blanco" video to always acknowledge my roots. I also just find it funny.

Thanks for letting me know! I mentioned Cyrillic because I knew the alphabet, but not the language. She's from Ukraine then (at least according to that profile).
I think some of this might be created by the platform itself! As we know most platforms collect payment via ad revenue. Apparently this is problem with FB.
