As a DIY beginner, I had reservations attempting to do this myself since it is a wired system. After watching your video, it definitely looks doable. Thanks for the informative video.
What I don't like is that when installing this camera on an eve like this you can't position the lights with the hood over them. I can only install it with hood on the bottom. That seems like a major design flaw.
you missed the fact that the driver bit pulls out of the orange handle allowing the little white nut to fit perfectly in the end where the driver bit was. Then you don't have to use your fingers to screw in the small white cap nuts on the fixture.
I wanna put my ring in same location, but I dont have existing electric there. I'm actually an electrician, so the wiring is ok for me, but I dont do residential work..how do I secure a box in my overhang like that?
You might be able to cut the soffit hole first and find a board to attach to. If NOT…Most likely the soffit will pop out or may be secured with screws. Run your wire. Find a truss to screw a 2x4 into for a bracket. Most corners have a few intersecting. Attach the box to the 2x4. Cut soffit and install.
The title was misleading. I don't have a floodlight. The title should have been something like "Replace Foodlight with Ring Floodlight Cam | Easy Install, No Tools Required" or "Ring Floodlight Cam Easy Install | No Tools Required with Existing Wiring." Oh wait....I think this was clickbait. I'm slow! 😂

Have you had any issues in colder weather with your Ring camera? I’ve read some complaints that in cold weather they don’t work properly.
