- Hey guys this is just a quick sound test and review of the lg xboom rp4 let me know what you guys think and what you guys want me to put it up againts for speaker battles!!!

Hey guys my bad I didn't realize the speaker gets louder when plugged in, this was unplugged running off of battery the whole time woops
The speaker sounds a little warm, the bass sounds good. Interesting lighting. Omni directional speakers don’t sound very loud I like it. For $100 you can’t go wrong. Great video.

Hey guys, I received mine three weeks ago and performed a lot of tests. I am no audiophile, but an enthusiast. I own a Harman Kardon receiver, NAD receiver, Marantz dvd/cd player, and a collection of Classical CDs and all genres. Lynn Speakers, Mirage speakers.
Folks, this speaker has impressed me. I sense a great deal from the manufacturer to produce a device with neutral sound, adding too little color to the sound. I am really enjoying it.
It's worth mentioning it is not a speaker for super deep bass, or electronic music, although it has a massive amount of bass. It is also a speaker where the sound does not get centered, like normal speakers. From Iron Maiden, and Metallica to Sting and Norah Jones, Joe Bonamassa, and Celtic music, you are going to find a balanced, neutral sound.
But with classical, that is another realm. This speaker sings violins and cellos.
Strongly recommend it.
I'm an audio enthusiast as well and have some cambridge soundworks t300 tower speakers and a onkyo receiver, I also really love this speaker and agree they have made it very neutral yet spacious sounding, it does have good bass but just mids and upperbass not the crazy deep bass like on the jbl boombox 3, I still like mine a ton and think it's very much worth it
Agreed @@Jagistreviews . Our listening experience is not just made by electronic, bumpy music. For our type of people, audio enthusiasts, sometimes we want a simple, acoustic guitar play, a Flamenco Spanish music, a Piano Sonata, other times a good old heavy metal ...
This LG RP4 has been the speaker for all occasions.
Well done, LG. How you guys did it, I couldn't care less - although I think there is a Meridian signature there, I just want faithful listening.
@mghleira I agree 100 percent, and they did a great job, also I think you are correct, I think they use meridian to equalize their sound and speakers

I agree, it sounds way good and that kinda surprised me, doesn't have crazy deep bass but it sounds very well rounded and the lights are a great touch to

@doodle9 ya the extreme 4 looks good but the price for jbl is so crazy to me, you can get a tribit stormbox blast and a skullcandy Barrel XT for the same price as one jbl extreme and that just seems insane to me

@doodle9 I love jbl for sure they just are way too spendy for the most part, I did pick up a jbl encore from Walmart for 150$ so that was a steal
I have the smaller one. The xboom 360 XO3C. I got it from BJ's for $150. It looks really nice with its light feature. The app is pretty good too. It has a 3 way design though, 1 down firing woofer with 2 passive rads, a midrange upward firing into the led, and a tweeter on the top under a grill. Im on the fence on the capactive controls on the top, but it sounds really good.
Nice!!! I really want to get the smaller one, you recommend it then? I am loving this one and the app support is great with it, seems like lg finally got some speakers right ha ha, I have yet to test there new new one's yet
@Jagistreviews I would totally recommend it. My favorite light feature on it is the candle mode, which makes it look like a flickering candle light. Its volume steps also make it good for late night listening. There is also a carrying strap, which I haven't used yet, but it's not terribly heavy or awkward to carry.
I usually listen to music while trying to sleep, so I like to use speakers that actually shut off after no music is being played for a while. I've tried this with the Sony xg300 and some other speakers I have, but they just stay on all night killing the battery.

From LG i’m surprised with the limited LED lighting. I’d say it would’ve been better with multiple LED’s too create a smoother effect. Good sound tho, looks like a massssive lantern

Ya honestly I do like the lights but they could have made them better and added ones on the bottom and stuff, it does sound actually surprisingly good especially for a 360 degree speaker, I'm impressed for sure
@MrRelevance02 yup its a solid metal handle like I said super robust and well built speaker, well worth the hundred I spent
