Ryan Clark is absolutely correct. Triple Single is an adult. He is in his 30s' and it is up to him to act in a mature and professional manner on the basketball court. He doesn't need counseling, he needs to grow up and be more mentally mature when he plays the game.

Adults also need counseling. There are plenty of sports psychologists out there. Good or bad, behavior has sources. In DG's case having a professional tap into prospective sources can't hurt.

You handle Draymonnd exactly like he'd handle himself. Direct and in his face with aggression. See how he likes it. Poole and the rest of them should've never let him get away with it. You got to hit him back even if it's a year later and you cheap shot him. See what happened when Jokic retaliated on Morris? You never heard from him, again. Having 2 players that are dirty doesn’t make a team one that thrives on cheap shot players. How many other incidents has there been that involved Zaza?
Regarding Green, they and the league are guilty of being to lenient in punishing him for his dirty play. The final straw was the decision to not suspend him for slugging Poole. That was a travesty and likely emboldened Green, pretty much sending the message that he is special and Green really believes it.

It seems like the part that people are forgetting is that draymond said himself that he's not changing. so no matter who tries to help him he said he's not changing. the organization is also wrong because it seems like they enabled him. if they would have made his punishments a little bit more stiff then Maybe he wouldn't have taken it this far. instead they chose to keep him on the court and let him think that he can do whatever he wants. I don't understand how anybody can exercise when draymond does what he does he tells people he's not gonna change so how are we surprised when he all of a sudden find himself in another situation every 8 to 10 games?

Do you know how your wife, girlfriend or sister gets emotional and nagging, be all in your face and even physical to provoke you? That's how players see Draymond and don't want that drama. If he thinks he is tough, one of these days some players will knock him out cold turkey to make a statement not to take their restraint as weakness. It's amazing how much grace we give for people that we like. In this situation with Draymond Green I've heard folks say everything from he's needs to talk to someone and get his some help or he's simply out of control. Even Stephen A is putting the onus on Stephen Curry and his lack of leadership as rationale for Draymond behavior. Because Draymond is a 4-Time NBA Champion and considered the "heart and soul" of the Warriors. He's been handled with kit gloves. Where was this same energy for Bill Laimbeer back in his playing days? He was considered a dirty player and thug. Was there anybody advocating for him to seek counsel or he has a problem? We make accuses and allowances for people that we like. Most folks hated Bill Laimbeer so he was never afforded that same benefit of the doubt that we've seen in recent days since the announcement of Draymond suspension. I don't think Draymond is out of control which was suggested by Stephen A. Smith. I think Draymond is very calculated and knows exactly what he's doing. Miss me with all this talk of his going through something like mental issues or like Emmanuel Acho suggested some childhood drama. Maybe he's just a dirty player and it's not more nuisance than that. He's the "can't get right of the NBA".

D Green plays hard ball which 65% of NBA players look soft and probably is soft. Who's talking about Lebron he plays like Green but never been put on notice in the media. I have seen a lot of dirty plays coming from Lebron James for example, he let his presents be known with Memphis last year and took Ja Morant down in the AIR. Now play back his history he's no better. The NBA media analysis and others around the NBA is saying Green needs cancelling that's real bad I personally think they are going too far especially PERKINS ! he is out of control with what comes out of his mouth. He makes a lot of NBA players look bad that's real messed up. His Stats as a NBA player have never been box office (meaning who paid money to see him lol.

Exactly! Draymond has had the benefit of doubt his whole career. The amount of things he has gotten away with as probably the 3rd best player on a championship team is alarming. What's clear now is they aren't a championship team anymore. For some reason he is acting out. He has always been dirty. But its never been this blatant. Which is why media members are asking questions and talking about counseling. He was suspended for 5 games a few weeks ago and then he does this? He didn't even try to hide it. I agree all this is calculated and he knows exactly what he is doing. But why do all this now towards the tail end of his career? He is ruining his chance at a legacy inspired career with moves like this. This is one move he probably didn't calculate. All for what? So he doesn't expose himself as a tad bit overrated. Because as much as he brings to that team they still had a top 15 player on the roster the whole time he was there. And another rented top 15 or 20 player for 3 years. That usually brings championship success.

    NBA Players with Most Ejections
    1 Rasheed Wallace 29
    2 Draymond Green 19
    3 Dwight Howard 17
    4 Anthony Mason 16
    4 Charles Barkley 16
    6 Shaquille O'Neal 14
    6 DeMarcus Cousins 14

    9 Kenyon Martin 12
    9 Dennis Rodman 12
    9 Reggie Miller 12
    12 Kevin Garnett 11
    12 Gary Payton 11
    12 Ron Artest 11
    13 Bill Laimbeer 10
I don't think that's a coincidence. If you are just an average player trying to stay in the league or not get traded, the mentality is work hard, don't screw up and/or draw negative attention to yourself. The stars know they can get away with a lot more antics and to be more expressive even if disruptive. There's this sense of entitlement. If Draymond were just the average journeyman in the NBA would he be second all time in ejections? I think not. He has to worry about his next paycheck. Grow up and stop causing grief for your teammates who deserve better.

i totally agree on the poole leaked video. How the hell did GSW higher up allowed that leak to happen in the first place?
The time line was before Dreydrey was up for contract extension. I think the leak was in hindsight a way to detest other teams from trying to sign him away from GSW and further push them over the crazy luxury tax after Curry's massive payroll deal.
They purposely let that leaked out, sacrifice poole cos they kinda regret signing him anyway, and just make dreydrey have little to no bargaining ground for whatever they going to offer him.
With his temperament [behind closed doors leaked out], it's easy to capture him and the leverage they gave him was "hey you do you, just dont get into too much trouble when you pounding chest and practice ur mma move"
No other organization wants to go into bid wars and pay a massive contract just to realise they have to deal with the player's ego and temperament when trying to synergize the team.

    • @cycleoflife565

    • @cycleoflife565
      @cycleoflife565 5 місяців тому

Also Draymond was in control of his fate. He is the one who chose to assault Poole. There were no tricks involved by the team to bait him into slugging a teammate and follow that up with a knee as he fell. He did all of this knowing that he was hoping to sign a new contract. It could be argued that he was so confident that the Warriors would resign him and eventually let Poole go that he followed through on his first impulse to slug Poole because he knew the consequences would be minimal and he was right. He just didn’t figure that it would be captured on video and released to the media. Even with that footage being shared worldwide Green still came out ahead and definitely in a better position than any other player would have.

Dumars, Kerr, and others talk about getting professional counselling… just today in Yahoo Sports Dumars said “I think there’s also an obligation to help these young guys get better in maturing and how to deal with things.” he mentioned a lot about players history to make decisions for suspension… and when you look back at Rasheed Wallace comment about Draymond when he was young, where he got a lot of time with Detroit pistons… so, what I'm saying is, it all adds up to what he is now… and players do need professional counselling… not only NBA players because young kids do imitate idols… if you're at the Detroit pistons locker room at a young age… you look up to them, and when the BAD BOYS do something terrible to a player… it sticks! It's bigger than basketball or any professional sport… they look mature, but they're not! Players should think about their responsibility to society, kids, and fans that help contribute positively to the betterment of an individual growing up… just my thought as a parent who loves NBA…

The league decided that based on the success and culture that Warriors franchise had developed over the years, they would allow the team to decide his fate, which was a huge mistake. Lacob is in record saying that he wants their big three to retire as Warriors so Green was already in a favorable position. They aren’t afraid of him, they have just given too much rope until he’s hung himself and the team. He is instrumental in their crashing from the heights of having won a title just a season and a half ago. Yet he can sit there in front of the media and be smug and flippant about his antics. He is a menace and should be banned for a substantial period of time.
