I think you did and awesome job on it!! I don’t like the chippy look. I was so excited when you got away from the black and white cuz I always just imagined it was my colors but it’s a little harder to imagine smooth white or blues with the chippy look but I love both of your channels and I learn so much from you especially when you do the decoupage items but you are such a great teacher and person it is such a wonderful thing when I get to learn from you!! Can’t wait to see you all settled into your new home and shop!!
I went to your booth at Hog Creek today. Yes the rusty crusty oil can is mine. Also the long wooden candle mold. Your booths are amazing. Thanks for the heads up on a really neat antique area.
Need to get Chris home with you full time so we can learn more woodworking. My late husband could build anything, restore anything...have a feeling Chris is the same. I inherited all his tools...maybe Chris could do some videos on how to use and how to maintain...I for sure would love those!!!❤❤❤
😢😢 Bye old shop…… bittersweet for sure! I think this piece is from the 1950’s . I remember those animal stickers from my childhood on children’s furniture, I think a puppy and bunny! YES it was all made out of very hardwood! It would last through the years and ALL THE CHILDREN! Now the stickers on the side….LOL!!!! Anyone’s guess🤣 Sweet Pickins Milk Paint in BASIL is my all time favorite color! Yes, I did let out a little squeal of excitement! If someone is upcycling a piece I’m buying I ask for that color! Love it…love it and shape with the dark wax …a double love!!! Excited for the new shop…I hope there is “ pallet wood” in the plans 🥰
This is a beautiful piece! Job well done! Can’t wait to see you in the new workshop and home!! Love and Best Wishes and may God Bless your sweet family!
Just think of what you have accomplished !You guys worked so hard for so long to get this far and you did it!!!!! It is bittersweet. So many memories. You and Chris will make even more memories together as holidays roll around with your kids. The little armoire looks great. You did a great job on that considering all the stains and adding shelves. I love the color. You guys dreamed the dream and now it's here:) You are blessed. God Bess. Hugs to you my friends. Rebekah.
Blessings to you as you end one extremely gratifying chapter of your journey both as an artist and as a keeper of your former home. You can tell from your videos that the house was well loved and cared for just as you have breathed new life into furniture "diamonds in the rough". Looking forward to how your move will inspire you to take on more incredible projects. Thank you for still sharing during this busy time!
I will miss the pallet wall, but who knows what awesome background you two will create? It will be a relief to be in one location and then you can just get the new place organized! Your new house is beautiful...new adventures ahead!😊
Sweet Pickens has a bonding agent you can mix in with the milk paint and it really helps it adhere. Less chipping and cracking but a yummy milkshake-like finish!
Nostalgic item for sure ! What a great redesign adding shelves - and I am digging that paint color, too ! Bittersweet to be saying goodbye to the workshop that has served so well ..but excited to see what's next !! Love ya ! ❤❤
Beautiful work and I Congratulate you both for all the work you have done, you are a wonderful team!!! Keep them coming I so enjoy watching you and getting all your tips🦋❣️👍
You know saying about something being so boring “ it’s like watching paint dry”. Well they sure haven’t watch the milk paint dry with a heat gun. Lol, I think that is fun and beautiful. I like that raised krackle look. Loooove it. 😊❤
Love the dresser. I bought one like that over 30 yrs ago unfinished from JC Penny’s. But mine came with shelves. Is it considered vintage. I love the color green and as much as I like old looking stuff I think I would of like it better without the big chippy look. The hardware really takes over the top. Great job my friend. Hugs
😊we used to call these Manrobes, for a gentleman's bedroom where they didn't need the hight for dresses. Love thr green...tfs even when you must be so busy and stressed! Best wishes x
When you go out antiquing or Pinterest look how pieces naturally aged or have worn over the the years you might get new ideas for aging a piece. Years ago I tried using a block of paraffin wax to act as a resist before painting. Kinda fun and surprising.
I’m pretty sure this piece was once in a science or chemistry classroom . My father in law worked in maintenance on buses and one time a school closed and he was given several pieces of furniture from the school. There was a piece that looked just like this. 🤷🏼♀️ Love your vlogs!! So excited for you and Chris in your new adventure!!❤️🙏🏼
Perfect color! I LOVE IT! Looking forward to seeing your new shop. I'm sure Chris will make you a staging area that you will love just as much as the one in the old shop. TFS
Love the Basil paint color and the crazing. It gave a lovely aged look to this vintage piece. But te large spots of missing paint on the drawer fronts that occurred when you sanded over the crazed areas weren't to my taste as I prefer a subtler look. So glad you kept the original casters and the new black hardware was a great choice. A great last project and best wishes for many new great things in your new home and workshop!
WOW you did an amazing job!! What a wonderful project to remember your last video! May God continue to bless you and your family. I can’t wait to see your new shop
What a beautiful transformation. Love the green. I would use this in my kitchen. It’s great for extra pantry space, kitchen linens, and kitchen gadgets. The height is perfect for the microwave.
I watch you everyday. When there isn't a new video I watch a playlist of your videos. Love your channel. I would love to see you paint something in sweet pickins milk paint color sweet potato with white wax. And maybe even have your Chris paint it to challenge his skills . You guys are an amazing team!! Also a beautiful milk paint color from sweet pickins is 50% sweetie Jane and a 50% pantry door mixed together. It makes the most beautiful blue green.
It’s a winner!! When you put the black wax on the basil, my eyebrows went UP ⬆️, because it made it look so much more richer and deeper!! Funny that both of us are moving to new places at the same time!! Love this transformation ❤❤❤. Going to miss that beautiful wall but looking forward to seeing your new place!!🎉🎉🎉
Love that your last piece of furniture there happens to be the first piece that i actually refinished over 30 years ago. Mine was painted green and white when i purchased it. And i brought it back to a natural wood finish.
Oh how I LOVE THAT green color. I just received my first Milk Paint yesterday and I am so excited to try it. I was scared to try it , yet after seeing you use it many times now on your pieces with great results I am going to try it. If it is successful I know just the piece I will do next in the “Basil” color! I am grateful for all that you do and share for I have learned so much and encouraged to create with new and different products.
Eat last piece in your workshop. It gave many people a lot of joy and inspiration. I'm waiting patiently ( not) to see your new home and workshop. Give yourself some time and grace while moving. Praying for wonderful things ahead.
The colour is beautiful on a very versatile piece we used to have a dressing table very similar which was from the 50s I'm sure you will have as lovely a staging area and all the excitement of starting again in your new place xx
Sometimes I do events for friends and I would love to have snagged this piece for a little boy baby shower and filled it with cute baby items Absolutely gorgeous
I love your attention to detail when flipping furniture and home decor, washing, painting, taping off, just shows so well in the finished masterpiece. Looking forward to the New shop videos soon 😊😊
I LOVE IT! I like green that is certain shades of green n this basil was right on the money. It reminds me of a primitive color. You did a fantastic job on it. It has so many purposes that someone can use it for. Definitely like the idea putting shelves in it. I have one much like yours but a lot taller. It was painted white but you could see that it was made out of solid oak no veneer at all. I stripped it down to the oak n did a nice stain on it. I added the shelves too. Today I use it in my craft room to store many of my stencils n stamps. My drawers are full of all kinds of goodies. I love mine n I love oak. No more paint for her. I guess it won’t be long n you’ll be doing your videos in your new place. That’s pretty exciting. I wish only the best for you n Chris n still saying our prayers for the other house to be sold. ♥️♥️♥️😊👍👍🌟🌟
Just lovely. As always a great job. Thank you for sharing.
Enjoy your new house and workshop! We will see more beautiful things!
Wow!! You have surpassed 80,000 subscribers!!! Congratulations sweetie!! So deserving!! ❤❤❤❤

Beautiful 🎉 Excited to keep up with all the new developments and updates!
Girl you are so talented. Good luck in your new home and work shop where you can create beautiful things.
There is a beautiful eye in the grain of the wood on the wall beside your right shoulder.
It looks like one we had in our room when we were born and we were born in the 50's Beautiful.
My guess is 50s also. Possibly 40's
I went to your booth at Hog Creek today. Yes the rusty crusty oil can is mine. Also the long wooden candle mold. Your booths are amazing. Thanks for the heads up on a really neat antique area.
