Conceptually, it's an interesting series. The author is kind of a creep, and if you've read the manga, you'll see why. I wound up throwing the manga in the trash, because of the depictions of the child main characters at the end of each volume.

@@Boiea Akihito Tsukushi's use of children in sexualized/humiliating scenes is pretty jarring. I have no idea what he's thinking nor what his intentions are in doing that. Having said that, his story is compelling and it's message and world building are worth checking out in my opinion. But those are my two cents.

@tonyfunk that's fair. I have no qualms against the story or setting: it's the one anime that takes pretty irredeemable people, like Bondrewd, and refuses to kill them. The fact that Bondrewd didn't die after an epic DBZ fight sequence told me one thing: this series is something different. I'm glad that you're at least aware of the reality of the series. The setting itself and the story is great, and it's upsetting that it comes from an outright creep like Tsukushi. If the series were removed of literal child pornography, I'd be all right with it. It was my first manga read, and it felt disappointing that such material exists in it.
