Well said! Since I live near North Hills, I would love to see one video covering that area. As soon as they finish construction at the Main District, of course :)
Hey! Raleigh native here. Just got my part 107 license, but am struggling to find information on restrictions when operating downtown. Can you point me in the right direction?
Use the DJI fly safe app as they offer the best usability from inside the app in regards to airspace restrictions. You can load your 107 into your account and unlock before flight for most airspaces.
It looks like you flew all of downtown, did you need any prior auth? Just wondering because I want to get some B roll aerial footage of DT Raleigh@@portcityheights
@pigmanproductions we have options available in our online library of stock footage from our website. It could be a safer and more valuable option for you.
Build for what buildings don't make a city idiot 🙄 people do all of North Carolina cities are very Country and slow but it's ok thats what makes NC so charming it gives people like me somewhere to come and escape the hustle and bustle of the Northeast.
Hopefully, this next phase of proposals will materialize, although the McDowell Str and Dawson Str corridors will take much longer. Filling the gap between the CBD and the Warehouse District with buildings in the 300ft-600ft+ category would certainly change the current image. Curious to see how this video would look after VeLa Longview and Moore Square East are built.
@@lorndarken I would love to see those heights, but the tallest we can expect is The Creamery residential. If built as planned, it should get close to 430ft, RUSBUS II lost some height (from the original 435ft). Now, IF we get some serious office relocations to DTR, we may end up seeing some activity with high-rises over 500ft. If you know of something solid happening over 500ft, PLEASE share it here. You will make this person - and many more - very happy 🙂

Did you need any prior auth to be able to fly downtown like this? Also What Drone did you use? :D
Depends on where you’re flying downtown.
