JTF 2021: iStage Debuts “Bottoms Up at the Water Hole”

By special invitation from iTheatrics, Inspiration Stage was honored to produce a first-ever sneak peek music video of the song “Bottoms Up At The Water Hole” from publisher Music Theatre International’s upcoming title release “Dot and The Kangaroo: The Musical JR.” The musical is adapted from Ethel C. Pedley’s beloved 1899 children’s book set in the Australian Outback which explores the adventures of a young girl (Dot) who is lost but befriended by a maternal kangaroo. iStage Artistic Director/Co-Choreographer Mandy Seymore, Co-Choreographer Annelea Bootle, Music Director Jonathan Craft, and Stage Manager Courtney Sackett worked in collaboration with the musical’s Playwright Daniel Stoddart, Composer Daniel Mertzlufft, and Lyricist Kate Leonard who collectively rehearsed iStage’s youth cast. The video, filmed at George Ranch Historical Park in Richmond TX by Seymore and audio-engineered by Jeff Sensat, premiered during iTheatrics Junior Theatre Festival 2021 Online Extravaganza! January 17, 2021.
