What I like most about this dude (aside from his fantastic voice) is that his songs are all about hope, about how people are worth it. I'm sure he helps a lot of people with his messages. I know he has helped me quite a few times. Great artist.

I have had people say that there are other male singers with better voices and singing ability. I have diligently listened to each but every one pales in comparison to Groban. His range, delicacy, power, tonal quality and ability to transition from range to range is simply extraordinary. He adds so much emotion and depth to all that he performs that others lack. This man has a magic voice and the lyrics speak right to our souls.
I remember hearing this and instantly it was one of my favorite songs by Josh Groban. I was in my office one night playing music and my late wife was in the other room and I yelled to her when I die dont you keep your heart hidden away. She yelled back it is not me that needs to worry about that it's you, since you don't open your heart to very many people.
She would pass away suddenly a few months later. In the last 5 years I can count the number of times on one hand I have listened to ANYTHING by John Groban. She was a huge Josh Groban fan and listened to him all the time so it still is hard for me. At one of the concerts we went to he actually grabbed her hand in the audience and she completely started crying tears of joy. I know he will never read this or hear the story but that simple gesture made her so happy.

People don't realize how much their words can change a person's day. So many of us walk around with smiles on the surface when on the inside it is pain that we wish someone could see. I spent so many years of my life hiding behind smiles and clothes while no one could see the cuts all over my arms and the toll the anorexia was taking on my body. I recovered because of the man who is now my husband seeing through it all, and now at twenty eight I battle an illness that will probably take me away from my family way sooner than I would like, and I am blessed to have a few people in my life who see me and help me come out of hiding when things get tough.
wow!! Bless you! I never struggled with any eating disorders, however I have strugggled with cutting, too. I know it really is just that- a struggle. but together, we are strong and can say no more! I actually made several videos with my best friend GinnyJBskits. no pressure, but it might encourage you to see them!
I really adore your honesty. To be honest, although I never suffer from any kinds of eating disorder, I had lived with a crisis for a half years of my life, I was genuinely having no self confident. I kept cursing myself, torturing myself. Till' one day, someone told me that everyone had a hidden power, waiting to appear. I'm sooo glad that you've recovered. Be confident!!!! I've just realized that I can't find a single Josh Groban song that I don't like. I honestly don't think it matters to me what the lyrics are, or what the story is behind the song. (Which is usually something that I am drawn to with music from most artists) But with Josh, it is simply his voice that draws me in. Don't get me wrong, each song's lyrics are amazing to me, but I'm just amazed that I really can't find any song that I don't care for!

I've got this song suddenly in my head especially that couplet this evening and so I begun to sing it softly and there was that realization that I'm so quite, dreamy and shy around people. Very reserved. And immediatly I became emotional and only I thought was: 'I'm good as I am. I just have to open up to the world to let my light shine. Even when I'm a little afraid'.

I listened to this song like a billion times last week in the hospital when the surgeon said they wanted to send me to another state for my transplant evaluation which we thought we had years before. I'm only twenty seven with a two year old who needs me. Listening to Mr. Groban always helps me calm down when I'm getting bad news and calms me down when I'm running awful IV meds that make me feel very sad. It is nice to have great music to listen to with a true talent performing.

I have been totally enthralled by Josh Groban since I first heard him sing. The first song was "To Where You Are" and now I own several of his cds and dvds and watch and listen every chance I get. Not only is he cute as bugs ear, his voice is one of a kind fantastic, beautiful soothing, such a voice, such a nice young man. I'm so glad I lived long enough to see this gift from God to us.
