  • Mechanical CPR. Facts, numbers, and the 2020 AHA Guidelines.
The use of mechanical CPR devices to deliver CPR has become more widespread. Devices in the market include LUCAS, Autopulse, and others to mention a few.
So are we seeing an increase of neurologically intact survival since the introduction of Mechanical CPR Devices??

Mechanical CPR is a very debated topic. Clinicians just automatically assume that mechanical CPR is better. Thank you for this overview.

@@TheResuscitationCoach Yes. Aside from Prone CPR & Posterior Defibrillation simulation videos, please do also some tutorial videos on proning or how to turn an intubated patient into the prone position.

And by the way, can you do videos about Prone CPR and Posterior Defibrillation (CPR and Defib on a patient laying in the prone position / face down position)? Are you aware that CPR and Defibrillation can be possibly done on an intubated patient laying in the Prone Position (Face Down)? Can you demonstrate on how to manage an intubated cardiac arrest patient laying in the prone position (face down) inside the ICU Settings and Operating Room Theater based on 2020 Interim AHA CPR Guidelines? Can you explain the hand placement and defibrillation pad placement for Prone CPR and Posterior Defibrillation respectively?

There are very limited evidence for providing CPR in the prone position. Patients that are in the prone position with an advanced airway, it may be reasonable to provide manual compressions in the prone position until the patient can be safely placed in the supine position. AHA suggests in their 2022 Interim Guidance for HCP for suspected/confirmed COVID to start compressions with hands centered over the T7-T10 vertebral bodies. Before rotating you can also place the posterior defibrillator pad on the back as per manufacturer recommendation. Thank you for this video idea.

@@TheResuscitationCoach Thanks for the reply. But can you also do Prone CPR & Posterior Defibrillation simulation videos to be uploaded on social media like UA-cam and Twitter?
