The Horseshoe Knife REIMAGINED: Custom Build & Never-Before-Seen Design

- I've been wanting to make an Ulu style knife from a horseshoe for quite some time. I started with a high carbon steel horseshoe and shaped the metal on my homemade 2x72" belt grinder. After hardening the steel, I made some wooden handles and a leather sheath. These Horseshulu blades sharpened up really well. I think these turned out great and I bet you've never seen a knife quite like this.

I enjoy you channel because you have a wide variety of projects, acoustic, electric, and CB guitars. And then projects with Haley, and just all of them. I don’t understand why you are not at 100,000 subscribers.
We need to promote his channel to get him over that 100K mark.
Spread the word!
Those knives came out great Jeff.
Thanks man. Time to slice some vegetables. Lol.
Those turned out cool. You could sell those.
Hi Jeff, great video! The reason why you were having trouble welding the holes was because the holes were dirty and oxidized. I know this sounds crazy but if you drill the holes out with a slightly larger drill bit it will give the welding wire a much better surface to bite into.
The more I think about it, I believe you're right. I cleaned the outside of the holes but not the inside. Thanks for that, I'll definitely keep that in mind for next time.
This guy always reminds me of watching PBS on Saturday morning after cartoons were over.
I'll take that! That was one of my favorite channels to watch as well. Thanks.
Looks like they turned out pretty nice Jeff
I'm happy with this "experiment"
Hi Jeff, Happy New Year. I was wondering, does it cut leather?
I'll give that a try. I think it might just work.
@@homebuiltshop it just reminded of those half round leather knives
looks like it would make a good head knife to use on leather
I thought about that too. I'll try it out.
@@homebuiltshop if you just put an angle on one side it might be used as a skiving knife
Ulu style knife is awesome idea
Fire, Fire!
Dangit Beavis, Get down.
I am getting down.
