Ayer, por fin, puede disfrutar con uno de mis grupos favoritos del panorama actual de la música española. Descubrí a Los Estanques en el 2017 y aluciné con lo mucho que me recordaban a mis queridos CRAG, Solera, Pink Floyd, Kinks, Queen, Módulos, Barrabás, Triana... Es asombroso el bagaje musical que tiene este grupo, y más teniendo en cuenta las tendencias de hoy en día, a las que no se ajustan, lo que me demuestra una personalidad arrolladora.
Ayer terminaron en Valencia la gira de su último disco IV ya que el siguiente "Burbuja Cómoda y Elefante Inesperado", publicado recientemente, está escrito a la limón con la gran Annie B. Sweet,, que podríamos enmarcar el el disco conceptual.
También aproveché la ocasión para probar la grabación en directo con el modo HDR del nuevo iPhone 14 Pro Max, que como operador de cámara que soy, quería buscarle el punto flaco, y no lo tiene (más allá de la típica compresión que hay que hacer en UA-cam). Es apabullante cómo ajusta las luces altas y bajas sin generar nada de ruido, algo impensable hace menos de 5 años en un teléfono móvil. Sólo he tenido que ajustar un par de parámetros de color (no quería forzarlo para evitar no mostrar el contenido de origen). Posteriormente he añadido un compresor en audio y ya está. Lo que veis y escucháis viene así. Estoy sin palabras.

I finally enjoyed with one of my favorite groups on the current spanish music scene yesterday. I discovered Los Estanques in 2017 and was blown away by how much they reminded me of my beloved CRAG, Solera, Pink Floyd, Kinks, Queen, Modulos, Barrabás, Triana... The musical background of this group is amazing, and even more so considering taking into account today's trends, to which they do not conform, which shows me an overwhelming personality.
Los Estanques finished in Valencia the tour to promote their latest album IV since the following one, recently released, is written side by side with the great Annie B. Sweet, "Burbuja Cómoda y Elefante Inesperado", which we could frame as the conceptual album.
I also took the opportunity to test live recording with the #hdr mode of the new #iphone14promax , which, as a camera operator, wanted to find its weak point, and it doesn't have it. It is amazing how it adjusts the high and low lights without generating any noise, something unthinkable less than 5 years ago in a mobile phone. I've only had to adjust a couple of the color parameters (I didn't want to force it to avoid not displaying the source content). Later I added an audio compressor and that's it. What you see and hear comes like this. I am speechless.
