We head down south to Trophy Waters (different rules/sizes) to catch a feed of Marron for the 2024 season, First time trying my luck in Trophy water and it didn't disappoint, caught some good sized biggest being 110mm and also missed some stonkers, Also on the way down stopped in at Herron Point and picked up an entree of Blue Manna Crabs as well, for something different we decided to cook the Marron 3 different ways, which 1 would you try first? I have to say I think Marron is at the top of the taste bud list for me, very tasty.

Great episode Beanie. Catching those marron looked like a heap of fun with a great reward at the end of it. What’s this ute business? 105 will get jealous. Was it the marron vs fuel cost ratio that put you off? 😂
Mate I’ve always found just leaving crays face up in the halfshell on the barbie without turning produces best results. Sort of letting it poach in the garlic/herb butter. Each to their own though, looks delicious!

Haha, the 105 was due in 7am the next morning for service and was still leaking oil from the rear passenger side seal from Esperance trip, and the track was meant to be pretty basic but there was someone already there when we turned up so we had to find another location 😅 lucky the ute has LSD or it wasnt getting up some of the rutted hills,

Yeh I actually thought about keeping them turned up but I do like a tiny but of char on the meet itself for a bit of flavour 👌🦞
