I am a Learning Disability Teacher and have been looked down upon for using simple language to communicate. I didn't take my time to educate these people why you would need to express yourself in simple terms while teaching even at the high school level.

Dr. Dicks sort of violates her own advice by using a passive participle ("intended") acting as an adjective to modify the noun "audience." "The intended audience" means "the audience you intend to reach."
